    This.

People really need to look how comically difficult this is. Hell, even accounting for the Brady-Belichick led Patriots, if you account for their record since 1970, their losing totals are much higher. No other team comes close.

Not only that, I am pretty certain no other sports team can say that in North America either.

Tomlin's time management at the end of the 1st half is worrisome when it matters. He doesn't know how to use his timeouts. These are fundamentals that cant be messed up.

Some wingnut compared Tomlin's waiting until there were 5 seconds left in the first half to call his last timeout, and said it was as bad as the Bears letting the clock run out on Thanksgiving. So now it'll be the talking point of the Tomlin Can't Coach brigade. I pointed out the first time I saw it that a sack, a catch short of the end zone, or a penalty with a 10 second run off would have cost us any points. No response yet.

It cost us a shot at throwing it to Pickens/Washington/Muth in the end zone. If they threw a jump ball (which is what it would have been) there is 0 chance of it being caught in play, and if there is any pressure at all Wilson could throw it out the back of the EZ so there should be 0 risk of a sack (we were also close enough that it wasn't a slow developing play to get someone in the EZ). Sure, there is a chance of a 10 second run off for a penalty but any given play that is pretty low as well. I think there is a better chance we score a TD than anything bad happening (INT or Penalty), so it was worth risking the 3 points. Tomlin disagreed and wanted the points... Not how I would have done it (nor would many other teams that have any faith in their offense at all), but that's what Tomlin wanted.

Taking a lead into halftime with the ball to start the second half was also important. And if something bad had happened, you would be on here bitching about how Tomlin can't manage the clock. Turns out he was right, the three points were important, and gave us the momentum to start the second half. And it's why he's an NFL head coach, and you are on message boards complaining about his coaching.

Yes, the points were important... I just think there is like a 99% we were getting 3 points anyways and like a 5-10% chance we score a TD on a jump ball to Pickens (or someone else). I think it was worth a TO and a shot. Its fine that Tomlin didn't, but I think we should have tried.

Also, I don't just look for a reason to hate on Tomlin... I honestly thought he should have called the TO and tried for the TD. If something bad happens, then oh well, he played it right and we just screwed it up.

I understand it is meaningless but IMO it is something to take pride in. Can't be many other organizations that have had that kind of success.

The Steelers the only franchise to be in the top 10 by having two streaks of non-losing seasons.
