He can’t defend, constantly hanging on trying to defend. Coach needs to have a sit down with him and tell him the do’s and don’t’s on defense against the pass. Responsible for 15 yards plus another penalty that put Bengals on the 1 yard line and a TD.

They can't bench him they don't have much depth to replace him, you don't want Pierre out there and Sutton is washed.

 

I think you hit it out of the park. The refs are inconsistent enough, but with his play style and getting a 'reputation' he is going to lose nearly every time if it's a close call, or a combat type of contact between both parties. Bottom line this is not college and his play seems to have regressed, playing against Chase is challenging enough, but you have to be smarter.

 

He just has to stop being grabby ----I don't care if others do it --he needs to stop ----they are watching him..

 

Did anyone on here ever heard of Branch Rickey. Well back in 1945 he started the black baseball league. He was in the business 45 years managed 4 baseball teams one was the Pirates. He had similar with some players in his career and the way he resolved them was to take X amount of dollars out of there paychecks. Same could be done now or put it in every contract in the NFL.

JPJ is having an up and down Sophomore Campaign. Nothing more to it than that. Not the best time to do so clearly but against someone like Tee Higgins; an equally physical player?! Gonna have to live with some of those penalties.


I expect Porter Jr to bounce back against Cleveland next week. He is still Pittsburghs best Corner since Ike Taylor.... and that is saying quite a bit.

 

Who would you play instead of Porter Jr.?

 

And who do you suggest they replace him with?

Agree. JP ceiling is too high to be sitting on the bench. He just needs to settle in and practice and learn better technique.

 

I said Negative due to JPJ is the best corner on staff. Are his penalties a concern? Of course. He has had 2 games with 5 penalties in each. They will take time this week with film and practice to curb his grabby ways and rein him back in.

After last season the zebras are putting on glasses and singling him out. He needs to be smarter then the Mr. Magoo zebras.

The worst was him I believe pulling Higgins down in the end zone all the while the pass was uncatchable. Pass interference.

Tomlin needs to curb his stubbedness saying he is not going to change his game. I feel he will be smarter going forward.
