They will only come out when Steelers lose

 

He’s having a good year, Russ starting = great decision.

21 years for the Steelers, the last losing season was 2003 and then we drafted Ben.

 

Great streak for Tomlin coached squads. With any luck his other dubious streak of not winning a postseason game won't balloon to 8. But that remains to be seen.

 

Coach of the year decision. But Goodell hates us.

 

Continues to be terrific with extra time to prepare. If you're gonna point out bad Thursday record you also have to acknowledge that

Tomlin sure the hell is not a bad coach to have. I felt he blew a good chance at a SB with his coddling of players the one year but all in all I'm pulling for the guy.

None of it will matter if we get whacked in the first round of the playoffs again....

It's great that our franchise hasn't been bad since 2003. We are always in it. But, we aren't the Bengals or Browns (both of which have won playoff games more recently than us), and we are measured in post season success. All this hype about the non-losing stuff is way overblown. I'll start celebrating it when it is paired with success in the playoffs and not playoff disappointment.

 

I have explained this before I don't really care about the streak, I'm just having fun with it .

 

And the Steelers over/under wins started at 7.5 then later on went to 8.5, either way the Steelers are likely to end up way over that number.

 

The only people that bring it up are the torch and pitchfork crowd and the media

 

Likely? Maybe you missed it, but 9 is greater than 8.5

 

Has anyone done the analysis on short rest games in relation to the Steelers usually having a predominantly veteran team (older players) each year?

 

People massively underrated this team because they thought our QB situation was going to be a disaster. Except Fields went 4-2 and Russ is 5-1.... so both turned out to be much better than the media thought they would be.

This team is in "win now" mode. We have a small window before Russ ages out to make a run at this thing. The next 3-4 years should be an "all-in" approach to trying to win a SB.

 

I’m happy with the trajectory of the season. Tomlin needs to get the team to finish strong and carry momentum into the playoffs.

I’m happy with Tomlin’s work this year and am hopeful as we move forward.
