Defense wasn't that bad. JPJ had a terrible game and maybe Mcqueen as well. looked like he struggled

How some in this thread thought Wilson was an afterthought is beyond my comprehension. Wilson was outstanding today. MVP type performance.

I don’t know how better to explain this to you, with the clock stopping, had Steelers not converted the first down, they would’ve gotten the ball back with a minute of clock.

defense not great but can't complain about 3 HUGE turnovers - 2 strips sacks and an INT.

The good news is this win today is kinda worth two. This ended the bengals season so that week 18 game in Pittsburgh should be meaningless to bengals and an easy win for the Steelers.

How did the Bung Holes not suspect that Fields was keeping the ball? The only question was where he was going with it.
This pretty much drives a stake through the Bung Holes’ playoff chances.
Anyone know if Cincy still has the grain elevator or was that in their old stadium?

Sometimes ugly, but to me, the Steelers are playing find a way to win this year, which is a good thing. They have to be one of the most exciting teams in the league to keep a person watching until the end. Cardiac for us Steelers fans and riveting for 60. I'm just glad they kept the Ravens at least a game behind through this week.:steelflag:

A win next week against the Browns will give the Steelers 10 wins and all but clinch a playoff spot.

If we don't get that first down and have to punt it to the Bengals, I'm not sure our defense could have stopped them from going 80 yards with a minute left.

Well no sh!t Sherlock. The Tomlin fan club rally cry is "never had a losing season" which is what I was referring to. That and $2.65 will get you a cup of coffee at waffle house.

The penalty stopped the clock at 1:54. Had they not converted the first down, they would have punted with about 1:12 on the clock (that’s when they took the 1st down snap). If they didn’t commit the penalty, they would’ve run the 3rd play before 1:14. If they don’t convert, but keep clock running, they would’ve run potentially be punting at :35.

It appears your argument is the penalty didn’t hurt, to that, I say you’re wrong. Punting at :35 is way better than 1:14 had they not converted.
