Hybrid Cincinnati/Thanksgiving dinner: I’ll mix chopped up leftover turkey and gravy with Cincinnati chili and pour it over spaghetti, and top it all with a dollop of cranberry sauce. I’ll have a bucket next to the couch.

I will be finished with Turkey by the game....so Im thinking beef, and cheese baked ravioli. I just hope I haven't had that yet this year for football, or it's already loser food.

At least it won't be that jinxed chili. I think we did OK when you were slaving for 3 minutes over those microwaved gourmet frozen pizzas. (Hint Hint). :hmm:

Doing a 23 lb bird and only 2 people to eat it (plus 2 next door via a care package). So I'm assuming it will still be turkey something that may last till the next Browns game if no bird flu crops up during the interim.

I always look forward to the Thanksgiving night turkey sandwich with lettuce and mayo. Simple but good. Good bread or roll is a must. :smiley1::cool:

I even make a sandwich out of the stuffing after it's been in the refrigerator.

my dad used to get this pita pocket bread from a bakery (no longer there) and as a kid we would make them in that. man those were good. i have some really good sub rolls from a store bakery that i may try it on this year. i've enjoyed that every year since i can remember on Thanksgiving night.

If I can wrestle the carcass from my father-in-law, I saw a recipe for turkey gumbo that intrigued me. Got to love a good gumbo.

I’m thinking Low Country Boil this week. Shrimp, Andouille sausage, corn on the cob and taters. Pig shots for an app.

OK I agree. Here's an even better idea if you have some patience and enough leftovers. I call them Tur-stuffin-berry Sandwiches. You need a waffle iron. Take your stuffing, add some cranberry sauce or berries, egg and turkey/chicken broth (maybe gravy?) and mix them well until smooth enough to pour into the waffle iron. Cook it long, maybe 2 or 3 cycles. Remove - you now have stuffing toast halves (which is kind of ironic since bread is the main ingredient for stuffing. LOL). Pile on turkey (hot or cold), smother with gravy for knife and forking it or no gravy for hand held sandwiches. If making for several people (which I always have the day after T Day), place the cooked Tur-stuffin-berry pieces in the oven to keep warm until you have enough for everyone. It's been a huge hit for my kids and their families and other friends for about 10 years now. It doesn't get any better for leftovers! :thumbs up:

Nice idea for left over turkey for two: 8 inch baking dish. Spray that bad boy and spread Stove Top stuffing (or your favorite) on bottom like you would a pie crust. Chop up some turkey, I dig it small and spread that bad boy on top of stuffing. Get the wife involved. She can open the can of WHOLE berry cranberry sauce. Little love pat on butt seems to encourage them. Take a 1/4 cup mayo and mix with 1/4 cup cranberry sauce. Spread that bad boy over your stuffing/turkey.

Now, tell wife to find a big ass bowl. You may go to wrong cabinet and she'll ask how long your dumbass has lived in house. I've had the Experience. In bowl mix 1/2 cup mayo/ 1 and1/2 cups shredded mozzarella and then microwave those mash potato packages and throw it in bowl. Careful hot and pain in ass to mix together. Cheese starts melting. Now take that bad boy and put on top of your turkey pie.

Pop that bad mother in a 375 oven for 40 minutes** and after garnish with some of the whole cranberries if desired. Two dinners for wife and I.

** Note cooking times across the Mississippi can be confusing;)
