Rumor has it the Steelers are looking for a third 'big name' quarterback to work into the committee rotation.

I can find my own way out, thank you.

Man, I remember my NYG fan golfing buddy. He was so damn pumped about the future. I remember him telling me I had Ben but he had Eli and now Jones.

Knowing Jerry Jones?! He just might entertain the idea.

Anyone else think that Brian Daboll isn't long for the New York Football Giants?! I personally do. Hell, when a Rookie, yes a Rookie, calls out the Head Coach?!... never mind being a poor look but it is a damning indictment.

Daboll is one hell of a Offensive Coordinator though. Someone is gonna get a good one that is for sure.

Daniel Jones signed with the Vikings this morning. Sam Darnold is just there on a one year contract and JJ McCarthy has missed the entire rookie season because of injury. All in all not a bad place for Jones to go to.

Gives Darnold a legit backup for the playoffs.

5 years at $182 million for Jones. That's pretty steep.

For the rest of this season and for the playoffs he will most likely be Sam Darnold's backup. Darnold is aFA after this season I believe.

As for that contract, I think that's a bit of an overpay. What I found was Jones's signed a one year $375k contract with the Vikings.

Isn't he guaranteed some money from the Giants?

I have to guess why he went to the Vikings? Is this about next year? I thought he would go to a marginal playoff contender like the Dolphins, figuring on Tua's next concussion. Or maybe SF with their QB issues. Vikings are Darnold's team thorough the playoffs.

He wanted to go somewhere that was going to be in the playoffs, not somewhere that maybe if the stars aligned could get in. I know the chances of Tua getting hurt are higher than Darnolds but I don’t think that played a roll in his decision

Probably? What does that have to do with the Vikings signing him though?

He is; not a small amount either.

He is owed $11,700,000 for the remainder of this season. For next season?! He will be owed $22.2 million for 2025. Both of which counts against the cap.

His eyes are too close together. Beware of Qbs with eyes too narrow.

Jones is a dead ringer for Henry Rollins.
