Considering the alternatives I would say yes.

He didn't do that great when he played earlier in the season.

Looks at Brian Thomas JR for Jacksonville. Seriously with him on this team the Steelers would have been a Super Bowl contender. I said it a 1000 x on this board that we need to score points to win in the playoffs. Instead we draft another OL and short WR.
This has to change this offseason.

I didn't hate the pick on draft day, but Thomas was among the players they passed on who would have been better options. I wanted Quinyon Mitchell, Graham Barton, or Zach Frazier. I thought that was a little early for Frazier, but was worried he wouldn't make it to them near the end of the second round. They got lucky on that one. With the full benefit of hindsight, I still might take Mitchell over Thomas, but either would have been better than Fautanu.

I agree - Boz is great but FG's won't cut it in JAN
we do need to score TD's, more points. they have exactly 7 games to FIX IT!

i STILL do not believe it is ALL personnel. (yes, some, but not all.....) Yes, Jefferson dropped a key pass on Sunday, it sucked. Yes, Austin had one clank off his shoulder that probably should have been caught. they NEED to catch those.

I in part blame Tomlin and Smith. They are TOO conservative.

the RUN FIRST at all costs mentality gets us off to slow starts. Maybe for ONCE, we can PASS to set up the RUN

Austin has been a disappointment at WR but he is in the top 5 in the league in punt returns and has never fumbled a punt in his 2 years here.

Getting Trice and Adams back could help, though yeah, they need Highsmith back.

That was an ugly injury. Could easily have IR'd him for as bad as it looked. I won't look for him until the last month of the season. Hopefully not too late.

Did you see the play? Yes, he has been hurt a lot, but I doubt any player would have weathered a badly-rolled ankle like that any better.

It sucks that they probably won't have him. Herbig is more likely to get home and get sacks, but Highsmith creates the more consistent pressure. Also, I think it would help Watt if they were to rotate all three guys. This would have also been a great game to use three edge guys on the field together. Maybe they can do some of that with Smith, but better to try to force the Bengals to run it.

Where did you get this? He was listed as limited for Thursday's practice.

It is disappointing to see Trice and Adams as limited. That seems to be trending in the wrong direction, but let's see what happens tomorrow.

With Adams and Trice taking a step back, it’s seems pretty unlikely they’ll be able to play Sunday.

That was my guess, too, but sometimes we overinflate one practice. That might just be some caution. I think Friday's practice will be the far better indicator for all three players.

Did Sutton play vs. the Browns? I don't recall seeing him at all, but now that I am thinking about it, was not looking specifically for him.

What I find odd is they seem to be more comfortable putting Pierre in when a CB goes down…. I thought Sutton would be that guy. Pierre doesn’t fill me with confidence.
