The NFL has screwed us on schedule so...

Let's screw them right back. Christmas game vs Chiefs is now our 2nd bye week. Play it like a pre-season game and pull all the starters. See how the NFL likes having one of their "premier" games ruined. I know it won't happen, but I'd have a lot of respect for Tomlin if he had the balls to do it. We are terrible on short weeks anyway. Wouldn't be too popular with the home crowd who bought tickets though.

I love the scheduling of this game for the Steelers. It is a short week for the Chiefs, who may only have 1 practice after their game on Saturday, to be ready to play in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. You throw in the Holidays of the Chiefs having to be away from their Families, and this game should have the biggest Homefield Advantage in the NFL this year.

Chiefs play on Saturday, Off on Sunday, Practice on Monday, and then travel to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, with the game on Wednesday.

Even with a chartered plane, Christmas Eve travel is going to be brutal.

I hope you don’t think these teams go through public TSA checks. They will be on their plane within 10 minutes after the busses pull onto the tarmac. They will also have priority departure time. There will be no travel difficulty for them at all unless a mechanical issue arises like the Steelers had several times last year.

I don’t disagree that the schedule/scheduling is brutal but the Chiefs are beatable. Not to mention pulling our starters to spite the NFL isn’t reality. Following the @ Cleveland loss and the Ravens beating the Chargers, I’m no longer seeing the division as realistic.

Steelers are going to have their biggest gut check ever during this gauntlet of stretch games. Need to get Mike Williams heavily involved as a #2 if we’re to have any shot at a division title. Even a WC isn’t guaranteed. We need to exceed expectations against these top tier teams.

She will just tell all of her Swifties that Christmas absolutely needs to be changed to the 24th of December and like the blind sheep they will begin to boycott.

The documentary with Bruce Dickinson flying his band all over the world is incredible. Such a good band to see live also.

The fact that there is another Iron Maiden fan makes me quite happy. :rawk:

Mind if I ask your favorite album?! Mine was Powerslave. :drinks:

I saw them open up for Judas Priest back in 1983 and they blew JP off the stage as the opening act. Been a fan ever since.

Our church actually had "Taylor Swift Night" for the middle school youth group a couple of weeks ago. The tween girls were encouraged to dress like Taylor and have a dance party featuring her music. I'm not sure what the biblical message was in all of that.

Fear of the dark and Number of the beast. I love all of it though. Saw them 3 years ago and they still rock. Most crowded I’ve even seen it at Riverbend. Place holds about 21K and they had to over sell the place. Couldn’t hardly move. People were waiting over an hour in the merchandise line. I pointed out to my buddy that all those people are missing half the show.

That 1983 concert I had 2nd row dead center and knew nothing about the band. Actually went mainly to see Judas Priest. Iron Maiden blew my mind. I’ve seen them several times since. Never saw JP again.

Iron Maiden intertwines so much through the years I forget what songs are on which albums. I went back to look up some of it and Powerslave is right up there as a favorite. I think my favorite song is still TheTrooper, but there are so many great ones. A local band still plays Flight of Icarus at their gigs.

Piece of Mind, followed closely by Powerslave. I also dig 7th Son. Very underrated album.

That may not make me old, but there are plenty of other things that do. It sucks waking up and saying “ow! Sleeping hurt last night!”
