Arthur Smith tries to get too many guys involved in the offense sometimes, get the ball to your best players. That crap pissed me off with Conner Heyward getting two penalties early in the Browns game, he doesn't make enough plays to be on the field.

 

Didn't work out when he was on the field either.

I agree that they should have made a genuine fullback a priority for Smith's offense. They couldn't have known Jones would regress and injuries would disrupt the line as they have, but the failure to get a true No. 2 receiver and a fullback were big mistakes in constructing this team.

 

I think that we are still a team in the midst of a rebuild. Success on the field this year has led many of us to feel let down by various parts of the game when we really should be happy as hell that we are doing as well as we have been considering that all aspects of our rebuild have not yet been fixed.

That said, I am one of the people that feels let down and mad about some aspects of our game.....lol...... Frigging oline, receivers and middle of the field defense!

 

The problem with this rebuild is we missed on a first rd QB and still have no real QB long term. When you draft 18-22 range QBs are already gone and how many good FA options really are there? No team in the NFL is letting a younger legit QB hit FA. They are letting projects like JF go or guys passed their prime like RW go.

Hopefully after a 3 week acclimation period, we will see more targets to Mike Williams
to see if he has anything left.
