these guys were beat up after the ravens and a short week. i think they could have played better but still didn't play bad considering how the league has abused them down the stretch. they need the next one and then the rematch.

 

While the steelers have had some good wins against top team this year, playing down and losing to an inferior team is the trademark of Mike Tomlin coached teams. 3rd time this season so far.

Yea, no. I’m still a bit miffed.
The Oline was garbage and the Dline was non existent. If they are to make noise in the playoffs (should they make it) then there must be drastic improvement. Otherwise, teams will be lining up to play us.

Tomlin disrespected the hell out of Cleveland. Going for those fourth downs, kicking a 58 yarder in snow. I really believe Tomlin felt the 2-8 team would bow down to his 8-2 team’s greatness lol.

We are just not good Thursday night at Cleveland. Just like we aren’t good in Philly(another loss). We absolutely need to beat Bengals Browns these 2 games.

 

Steelers "defense" is weak and cannot hold a 4th qtr lead. It is the Tomlin way that opponents WILL score in the 4th qtr

I prayed we would lose a game , or two before the playoffs. Nothing worse than to be complacent, and think no matter what You do .....you will win. You then don't work hard at what needs to be worked on.

The biggest issue was the coaching decisions from Tomlin n Smith

Just terrible game plans, they roll out the same plan every week

Hey let me know when someone besides the Dolphins go undefeated, and win a SB. If You expected no losses at all....I don't know what to say.....besides....knowing the History of the NFL it wouldn't happen.....no matter who the HC was

The season is a process. You have battles to win the war. Sometimes a loss helps you to understand your limitations and weaknesses. We are in a good position for the second half of the season. Everyone knew it was going to be a tough haul because they condensed the division games into an 8 week period so they could make an entertaining TV series. Things have improved vastly since last year and it takes time to gel. It was a short week going into a rival away game against a team that has nothing to lose. Gotta look forward.

 

They just held a 4th qtr lead against Baltimore last week and won .

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

 

For whatever reason, we suck on Thursday night games against division rivals. We're 0-6 on the road against division rivals. We just don't win those games.
I don't know if it's the short week, maybe Tomlin just doesn't do a good job prioritizing things, or if it's just a coincidence with a small sample size (6 is a small sample size normally, but is it in pro sports?).
I fully expected a loss this week. It is what it is.

The road team is at a disadvantage for Thursday games, the Steelers probably only practiced on Tuesday then a walk through and travel on Wednesday.

 

This. I've never bet on the away team of a division rival on Thursday night , and I have done pretty good with that. I will other games,,but never against division teams.

 

We are 0-8 on Thursday games.
