STD asked a question. You didn’t directly answer the question and somehow I love Tomlin?
The subject matter was irrelevant. I was just pointing out that you were dodging the question.
I’m not surprised you can’t grass this considering you’re blinded by your hate for Tomlin.
I’m not a very big fan of Tomlin, but that doesn’t keep me from thinking rationally.
Plus, I know what you’re doing. You’re trying to troll and stir up trouble.

I’d pump the brakes on that. The defense is played really well all year. Teams lose games.

If the Browns would have started Winston the whole year they would be in the mix for a playoff spot right now.

Rivalry games are always hard. I don't know why people are losing their minds because the Steelers lost. Add on top of that the weather conditions AND a short week off that emotional week vs the Ravens. I'm disappointed but not shocked. I know without a doubt the Steelers are the better team, but last night, they lost. There are things that need to be improved but knee jerk reactions to a game played in a blizzard is kinda silly.

That said, I think we also saw a very typical Steelers team playing down their competition under Tomlin and we also saw Tomlin's elite clock and timeout management on full display.

i am not sure people are losing their minds. we are just reminded of why Mike Tomlin has not won in many many years. We are getting prepared for our January future.

Mediocre Mike - likeable guy, players coach, many great attributes, but winning at the highest level is not one of them. This team was asleep thru 3 Q's last night, he truly was going to rely on FG's AGAIN last night.

I wasn’t dodging the question he asked if he’s such a bad coach why is he so great at primetime games. I said he’s trash because he can’t win playoff games that is why he is an overrated bum.

The defense was not good last night. They made excellent plays on the two fumbles, but that was about it. The interception was a gift. They still gave up 24 to a very weak offense, a team that just got its ass thoroughly kicked by a mediocre Saints team. Worst of all, they folded on that game-winning drive. They have done that far too often. They did it in the loss to the Cowboys. They did it against the Ravens, too, but got away with it thanks to Baltimore running a terrible play on the two-point conversion.

No, it really hasn't. They are blowing leads late. They were not good at all last night. Herbig made maybe two plays all night despite playing a fourth-string left tackle. Porter couldn't handle Jeudy.

Its not even who we lost too, its the way we lost. Dumb play calls. Getting destroyed in short yardage situations at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Bad coverage in the secondary. Watt has been below par the last month. Benton hasn’t developed. Oline can’t run block consistently to convert 3rd and short or 4th and 1. Fields passing deep on a 3rd 4 to run out the clock? Just very frustrating. We needed this win in light of how hard our schedule is.

We have been fortunate. I say fortunate and not lucky. There is a difference. Lamar scores that 2 point conversion and we are having an entirely different conversation this AM. We sucked last week, too, waiting for Boz to bail us out.

the Skins game could easily have gone either way.

Tomlin better take a good look at himself in the mirror this AM

Playing Grab Ass and Patty Cake won't work in January. But get ready for it.

Too me my disappointments on defense have been the star players. Where is Minkah, where has he been all year? I see him taking bad angles, late to react and missing tackles. Where has Watt been? The last month he has certainly faced his fair share of double teams but I have seen him single blocked alot as well and not providing much in the way of splash. In fairness to Watt I think the snow really neutralized his speed and quickness last night.

They were winning. Wilson brought them back. Then the unsmart coaches who want to force feed the Gimmick Fields in more and more let him pass! This was the catalyst for the loss. Then that wonderful Punt...

the "Gimmick Fields" helped get us back in the game.

We could not sustain a drive w 4 mins left, with Wilson and had to punt in a blizzard.

    It sucked

Yeah, and that’s not answering the question. That’s rambling on about the playoffs like you always do. And before you say anything, yes I agree with you. I’m sick of not winning in the playoffs also. But that’s not the point.
If someone points out your factually wrong about something, your defense always is that they’re a Tomlin lover.

I don’t even think you realize what you’re doing. Or maybe you do and you’re just stirring up trouble?

    Hypothetical example:
Hey, do you think Tomlin drinks Pepsi or Coke?
Your answer would be “doesn’t matter because he can’t win in the playoffs”.
    See what I mean?

The defense overall has been very good this year. Do they have some struggles from time to time sure. But not enough problems to consider firing the defensive coordinator.

Well you have a point. I just cannot stand the man (not on a personal level he’s a stand up citizen) and get frustrated when people can’t see the fraud he truly is.

I agree with you. I think the "losing their minds" comment is a leftover from last night's game thread which was out of control with gloom and doom posts. I would love to know how much say Tomlin has in hiring of coordinators because over the last several years, especially on offense, it's been VERY lacking. For a coach with the tenure he has, the total lack of a coaching tree is very telling for how average he really is.

If Winston and Browns no-name WRs can torch the Steelers.... wait until December 1st when we play against Burrow, Chase and Higgins. I hope Wilson is ready to run some no huddle and Mike Williams is over his injury bug, because this will end up being a track meet, high scoring game in the 40's.

Thay did get carried away with the Fields package against the Browns, especially that play where they had Fields throw deep on third down late in the 4th quarter .
