Devin Bush is with the Browns!

He played every game for the browns this year and he has 6 starts

Last year when he was with Seattle, in the game against us he had 18 tackles but the steelers had like 200 rushing yards including at least around 130-140 in the first half,so several of his tackles was after a 7-8 yards gain for the steelers!

Not just because of him, but yes we should be able to run against them. They are in the bottom 3rd of rushing defenses in the league.

This game just feels like a low scoring slug fest. We will have to take advantage of the fact that Jameis is about as turnover prone as anyone in the league. If there is any weather (like there appears to be trending towards) then it will be tough to throw and lots of stacked boxes.

I see the weather has taken a turn up there. Mixture of snow and rain for the game tonight. Going to be cold. Probably keep the score low. In BOZ we trust!

Yeah, when I saw the weather forecast Tuesday I figured this had a chance to resemble an old AFC Central mudder game of yore. Saw an update this morning that said the wind may stick around 10-15 MPH until the overnight hours (down from 25), but they're still calling for a 90% chance of rain and/or snow, temps in the mid-thirties.

I have Najee on my fantasy team and I am not sure if I should start him. If the weather is bad do we think it will be a turnover affair with low yards and low score?

Its going to be TD dependent. I think it is usually a safe bet that a RB is lower in yards when its a rainy, stack the box, type of game.... but if we are scoring any points, there is a good shot that we are scoring with a rushing TD, which obviously makes the RB fantasy relevant at that moment. There is also a shot with a stacked box that a big run can come from getting through the second level untouched with only a safety to beat. Jaylen showed that last year in Cleveland with the 74 yard TD run. Najee isn't going to be scoring from that far out, but if we're inside the 40 he might be able to rip through the line untouched if we block it perfectly and take one in... Lots to consider.

I think its a safe bet to start Naj. He should get high volume and will have a good chance at getting a TD if we are scoring any. I'm thinking a 23 carry 62 yard 1 TD with 2 catches for 12 yards would be a reasonable expectation. Thats 13.4 in a non-ppr and a 15.4 in a PPR format. Not bad numbers for a RB2. If he ends up scoring twice, then you hit it big.

Home team always has the advantage on short week games. Doesn't mean we will lose, but it's an advantage.

This offense couldn't score a TD against one of the worst defenses in the NFL with the Ravens. So let's see what this offense can do on a short week

Cleveland is like 130 miles away. Same timezone you can get on the road in Cleveland at 1000 and eat lunch in Pittsburgh at 1200!!!!! not much travel involved

That has nothing to do with Home field advantage in the NFL on a short week. No teams is more than a few hours away from anyone by plane anyways

The poor weather could actually neutralize some of the Steelers' advantage in the kicking game. Not good.

To borrow a Tomlinism, "Matchups make fights." The Ravens' defense matches up well with the Steelers' offense. They have arguably the best run defense in the league. They have a strong pass rush. The secondary has been a mess, but much of the damage against them came over the middle, which is not where Wilson likes to throw. Add in that they used their mini-bye to revamp their coverages and got a little healthier back there, it was a tougher matchup than it seemed.

The weather could be a huge factor, but the Browns should be a better matchup. Their suckitude is more balanced. Their run defense is terrible, giving up 4.8 yards per game, and it has gotten worse with injuries and trading way a starting lineman. I can't imagine that the poor weather will help a team that tackles poorly, either. The weather might equalize some things, but it isn't an excuse if the Steelers lose, especially if the offense struggles.

I don't completely buy that match up thing. They sure as hell are having problems "matching up" with just about everyone else as well. Maybe we failed to execute anything in the red zone on a consistent basis

That was part of it, too. The weak receiving corps outside of Pickens continues to be a problem. Nobody was fighting to get open on plays when Wilson scrambled to buy time. Wilson had his worst game as a Steeler, but constant pressure from the opposing pass rush will do that. The offense still has its problems, but the Ravens were a tougher matchup for the run-oriented Steelers than they were for a pass-happy Bengals' offense with Joe Burrow at quarterback and Chase putting together a monster season at receiver.

Also, remember that they lost Hamilton during that game against the Bengals and things got uglier or that defense when he was out. Hamilton played and was fantastic against the Steelers.

Yep! And things changed for the Steelers a bit when Roquan Smith went out. Funny how a single player can change a dynamic.

BIG change when he went out.

same thing happens to us when TJ misses large amounts of time

The Ravens are good against the run and have a good pass rush.

A few hours is a few hours. It has nothing to do with Home field advantage on a week with little preparation time.

Also ....styles make fights. The Ravens are the, or maybe were the number one scoring offense. They weren't against us our Kicker had more points then their whole team. People seem to think because team ....A did this to team B, and Team C did this to team A... .well team B should be able to do this. That's not how it works. I know you know this .....this is for others that seem to think this stuff.
