Rookie Center and Rookie Guard are good and will only get better.... but our 2 most recent 1st round OTs are not so great. Fautanu is out until the playoffs... and Jones continues to erase big yardage plays and points from the scoreboard.

I’m hoping the light will eventually go on for Jones. So much potential. And to be fair, a couple of his holding penalties weren’t exactly egregious… I’ve seen much more blatant infractions go unpunished.

Now lets hope to get him a franchise QB soon. No offense to Russell.

We got spoiled with Ben and for us old timers, Bradshaw. You really don’t see that anymore in QB’s partially because they don’t have to be with how soft they made the position. Closest QB right now with that type of toughness, I hate to say is Baker Mayfield. I watch a lot of these college kids and it’s all finesse.

Apparently the two of you and probably more don’t realize that both Frazier and McCormick are older and have significantly more exp than jones. Jones played 15 games in college and most of those he only played a half. While the other two started for 4 years iirc.

Fautanu situation is obviously unfortunate, but hard to say he's not so great... given that he is out with an injury that he had no say in. Jones has been playing poorly, but I think there's still a chance he turns out to be a solid player. We are probably going into next season with Jones - Seumalo - Frazier - McCormick - Fautanu as the starting 5 and Herbig - Anderson - New Swing T as the main back ups.

I would say Josh Allen is probably the toughest QB in the league.

Yeah I overlooked him but that’s about it these days. Two maybe 3 players and I don’t see any other tough QBs coming out of college. They’d be taking all the rest of the WB’s off on stretchers weekly back if they played in the 70’s and 80’s. Ben and only a handful of others would have been able to compete. BYW - Sorry to hijack the thread.

I wonder if Jones may be moved to LG when Seamalu ages out if they re-sign Moore?

    Moore- Jones- Frazier- McCormick- Fautanu

just spit balling here waiting for the browns game to start

I don't see much chance of Jones moving inside. Fautanu is the more versatile player if they want to move one of the young tackles inside.

Moore has a good chance at a 2nd contract with Steelers if they can match the offers he gets from other teams.

Moore and Pickens need to be priorities in off-season. Pickens is a risk with his AB behavior.

I wouldn't count out Fautanu just yet.

Remember that David DeCastro had both a dislocated kneecap and a Torn MCL as a Rookie; ending his season. Troy just has the knee. Now, the question remains is if it is the same knee he had his own MCL injury. The good news is that both injuries didn't occur at the same time.

David DeCastro turned out pretty damn good. I expect the same for Troy Fautanu. As for Broderick Jones?! I'd draft some competition next season to keep the pressure on.

Omar Khan has now had back to back A+ drafts. That said, the drafts alone doesn't mean everything by themselves. He has also struck pay dirt with two rock solid Free Agency Classes as well... thus far. It has been very promising in terms of the job Khan has done.

One more superb draft + rock solid Free Agency and the mistakes of 2018-2022 will be just about wrapped up. Granted, not 100% of course but removing five years of mistakes in three seasons?! That's pretty damn impressive.

    This.

Josh Allen is essentially a supercharged Big Ben. A true unicorn in every sense of the word. I'd imagine he finally breaks through and wins NFL MVP.

i do think they need to keep moore and hopefully jones goes the way of moore and ends up a solid player. troy could end up at seumalo's spot down the road and i wouldn't have a problem with that. add some depth. mccullom needs re-signed as well as depth he played pretty well when needed. solid core if we can get moore back.
