Sorry, but if you’re in the playoffs, you’re definitely a playoff caliber team. Now if you want to say they weren’t a championship caliber team OK I can understand that but the other stuff is just ridiculous.

Except Tomlin is going to the hall of fame, and the other two guys aren't.

ya, apparently the combo of Shottenheimer+Switzer is highly valued even if the results are just the sum of the two originals.

Could you imagine being a Ravens fan right now? Like, if we had lost the last 8of 9 games to them I might have leg as l charges against me. Especially with their multi MVP QB and firepower.

But that was us against the Pats, the Jaguars, and the Broncos during the killer B’s era and am still salty over that against Tomlin for a few. So, I get it. Just not against our division rival.

I’m just pissed that that 1 loss was a game a traveled to Pittsburgh for and dropped a lot of coin for. Tribisky s#!+ the bed once Kenny got knocked out.

Tomlin is the devil’s sock puppet and one win doesn’t change that.

And you STD are still a dumbfukk.

I think the statement can be more nuanced. Imagine an unstoppable team early in the season sustains decimating injuries at crucial positions. At the time the playoffs begin, they’re in on the accomplishments of the team that started the season. But the current team? Not playoff caliber.

we have dumbed down the playoffs - NBA style - and any losers make it now. that has let us back door in a few times - 43%, I have said it for a couple of years - 43% of the teams make it. the NFL likes it, TV likes it, it makes MOOLLAAAA cashola - $$$$

does not mean we are any good sneaking it at a #7.

but the lapdogs here like it.

I'll give them 2021...they won the division, but everyone knows that team went on a fluky run.

I agree 100%, all 3 turnovers were forced and weren't what I will classify as easy goals. Meaning, Herbig punched the ball from behind Henry, Henry may not have seen that coming but that was his first fumble in like 500 touches or something stupid. Queen wrestled the ball away from Likely earning that strip. Wilson fought through the catch to get that ball from Hill, which was also an earned TO. Its not like Lamar over threw a WR right into a DB's hand or they fumbled the handoff exchange. The Steelers forced those turnovers and were a huge factor in TOP and how we won the game. Tucker missing 2 long FG's proves that Heinz Field is still tough to kick in and that 50+ or long 40+ FG's are not gimme's. The dropped pass even though this is on them, is part of the game, if anyone could catch an NFL football there would be a lot more of us that played the game.

Those Patriots games were so frustrating especially when we were often more talented than them. That game where Jesse James had the TD reversed was so frustrating. I was so angry after that game. I still am not sure they reverse that call if it were any other team we were playing against. I feel like the Chiefs have a little bit of that magic today from he Refs.

this is where I still sit - salty over these games. and that crap on ourselves loss at home to the Ratbirds, playoff, 2014. They came to our house and we crapped ourselves. TOO MUCH to rehash in the Tomlin Era.

Yeah we had dropped passes too. Van Jefferson dropped a ball at the 5 yard line that would have been first and goal. We had bad luck too with Jackson having around 6 passes batted up in the air but they all hit the ground instead of being picked. You're right none of these turnovers were a fluke, our defense made great plays to force them.

If they didn't get robbed of that TD by Jesse James they get the #1 seed, and avoid playing Jacksonville in the first round. Who knows what happens after that.

They had no healthy RBs in 2014 playoffs they had to sign Ben Tate off the street.

Jackonsville was our cyrptonite back in the day. We didn’t have the defense back when we had the Killer B’s.

Few people would question Tomlin's ability to build a championship level defense. Having said that, their post seasons tell us something goes missing in those games because they are decidedly absent for large stretches.

And also, it is legitimate to question whether he is up to the task of building a championship OFFENSE.

    WHOSE FAULT WAS THAT?

that is because they RAN OFF BLOUNT from the organization!

Tomlin (here we go again) blew smoke up his rear end to get him here - then Tomlin ran the wheels off of Bell that year. He told Blount he'd split time or get a fair share of carries - Blount pouted, got pissed - whatever he did - and went AWOL.

Mike Tomlin was FINE entering DEC with Lev Bell - he screwed the pooch on that one - left us very vulnerable.

it's more BS defend Mike Tomlin crap.......

Ravens had signed 2 or 3 CB's in DEC from bagging groceries and parking cars (I lived there then, I vividly recall it) They came in here and embarrassed us. it sucked! and they LOST Ray Rice that season!

Would you say a team barely making the Playoffs with a 9-7 record (16 game schedule) is not Playoff worthy? I know I did until the NYG with a 9-7 record beat Brady in the SB and if Ben didn't hit Holmes with a strike the Steelers would have lost the SB to a 9-7 team.
