People that told me the last two teams....Washington, and Ravens would hang 40 on this Defense???....., or did you guys mean added together??? LoL.
I believe Tomlin, and Co....know what they are doing.

They’re lying low waiting for their opportunity.
I don’t get the over the top over exaggerations.
claiming games are over in the 1st- 2nd- and 3rd quarters.
Some fans are so afraid of how they look if they are positive, confident or hopeful and the Steelers don’t win.

They won’t say they were wrong. The same goes for the Tomlin haters.

Tomlin has deserved some criticism, but some of these fans are consumed with Tomlin.
    It’s beyond ridiculous.

I never, ever say another team is going to beat us. I definitely didn't exclaim anyone was going to put up 40 points on us. Anyone who watches the NFL should know not to make blanket statements like that.
With that said, I consider myself a Tomlin hater. That hasn't changed just because we are playing really well. But why can't we just enjoy the games without having to redefine Tomlin's abilities after every single week. It's a long season and although I enjoy the wins, I'm not here for regular season success. I want to see playoff success.

If we win it all, I'll give the players and coaches their due. In the meantime, just enjoy the wins as they come. It's a long season and a lot can happen.

Tomlin and Austin are doing a good job with the D. Just hope TJ stays healthy.

So your standard is that the Steelers have to win the Super Bowl before you will give players and coaches their due? You do know that the Chiefs are in the AFC, right? Steelers are very good but we don’t have a franchise QB and it’s really, really hard to win a Super Bowl without a franchise QB, and hard to win even with one. Just ask Cinci, San Diego, Buffalo, etc.

No, not necessarily. But when I think a coach is bad due to results over more than a decade, I'm not about to give him credit due to the team playing well to begin the season. We were 11-0 not that many years ago, how did that turn out? It's a long season and a lot can change. If we finish 1st but get smashed in the first game of the playoffs, does Tomlin still get credit? Did we win because of him all season or in spite of him? Did we lose in the playoffs because of him or is he along for the ride?

So what I'm trying to say is just enjoy the wins and don't worry about "Tomlin haters."

Well, I was on the "defense better get it together or they will get owned by good offenses" camp. They played well today. They were ok against the Commanders, but stood up when it mattered the most on the final drive. They got scored on today on the final drive, but stopped the 2 point conversion (though the offense failed the defense today. We easily could've/should've won that game comfortably).

They had a leaky ship. They played relatively poorly for a month considering the standard this defense holds itself to (and rightfully so). Going to need more performances like today's to end the year. We have an excellent chance to win the division now that we won this game. Gotta take advantage.

Um not exactly true. Not for me at least.

After the Washington win, I had to admit that not only does it feel great to feel optimistic again and Tomlin has done a VERY great job getting these players to buy in once again and I am seeing them prepared, making adjustments, while doing things that I don’t believe have either been done in a long time or ever.

Kahn gets a major amount of props for doing the shopping that Tomlin is cooking with.

Now, if Arther Smith we could get the TE’s involved BETTER - then I’m might not have a damn thing to say!

Really wish we could have seen a healthy O-line we wanted to start the season with.

You need to find HeinzMustard. He never believes the Steelers win games. He lives in an entirely different dimension lol

I didn’t say the D would get shredded but I am surprised they won the last 2. As much as I can’t stand MT he definitely deserves credit for this season so far and for how he owns Lamar.

This was brought up by guys I was watching the game with. Russell Wilson was a franchise QB. Has been to 2 SB's. He is better then any of the journeymen who have won a SB. Should we somehow get #7 it will have been won by the best journeyman QB ever.

how much of this turn around should be attributed to weidl and omar, and colbert no longer here? we have never brought in players like we have done the last couple of years. it is paying dividends.

I figured if they could keep Washington close they would stand a chance.
I didn't like giving J.D. the ball with that much time left though.
But, I have to admit, and I have been hard on our DC, that Defense finds ways.

For Baltimore, I figured a win as we are in Pittsburgh.
For some reason, the media sure has a crush on for LaMar. "LaMar this, Lamar that" but he always chokes when it counts.
We should have passed all over that secondary.... that does concern me a lot about Wilson.
I was glad to see Fields in, even with the bonehead slide.

There's always an angle to blame Tomlin for the problems and praise others for the success. It can be a combination of both.

All deserve credit for success right now....In the last few years, the biggest problem of the steelers was QB and OC

i said years ago, and caught heck for it, but i didn't care for the combo of tomlin and colbert picking players. weidl and omar and tomlin have done a much better job of fixing things here and strengthening this team. decisions that i don't think colbert and tomlin would have made. they liked to hang on to "their guys" far too long at times. DJ wasn't a popular decision around here for many. keeping moore proved to be valuable. fixing the corners and then the line not only through the draft but doubling down in free agency. these are moves the last combo wouldn't have made. i do think something snapped last year with MT when they decided to bench pickett for rudolph. something changed then in him. i can't put my finger on it but how he approaches this team has been different. for the better.

JFK said "Success has many fathers. Failure is an orphan."
Steelers fans take that to mean "Success has many fathers. Failure is 100% Mike Tomlin."

Why would you hate a good coach? It clear they didn’t have all the parts needed. Do you think there is a coach alive or dead that could have won the games they have won this year with Kenny Pickett? Mason Rudolph? Duck Hodges? Mitch Trubisky? And for that matter Ben during his final years? Colbert did not make the needed moves and was not aggressive enough in free agency. In your paragraph you asked why do we evaluate how well the coaches did after each game, well you sure as hell talk about it when they lose. Look at some of these clowns out there right now… Cleveland has a young coach, Cinci, Miami. They are all struggling. The Rams are so so and Jacksonville is a mess. But a lot of you would absolutely trade Tomlin for any of them. It’s just sad.

Defense is allowing an average of 16.2 yards per game. Thats good enough to put them in second
