I hope the Steelers didn't blow it by not drafting Quinyon Mitchell

You can't draft everybody. JPJ will be fine.

You can never have enough good CBs, I don't trust Porter Jr every game to not be too handsy. Donte Jackson isn't a long term answer and he seems to be always dealing with some type of injury.

What about Gonzalez....we could have had both.
I wouldn't let JPJ bother you. 2 calls last hame against him were phantom calls. Especially the PI in the red zone. You can hand fight within 5, and within 3 the Washington player fell down, and they wrongly threw a flag.

It's not often the #1 CB falls to you in the draft in Mitchell, instead we drafted an injury prone tackle .

Again....we took Broderick Jones, and Gonzalez was still on the board. We could have had Gonzalez, and JPJ in the 1st two rounds.
You will never convince me not to take a CB number 1.

Well, at the time they didn't have much besides Moore at tackle I get why they took Jones.

Opps! I read it wrong. I thought you'd never want a CB in first round. Thus I asked about Safety hoping you'd say never and I was going to kick your ass with a guy named Troy:)

I figured since I've been on here , I've wanted a DB in the 1st round every year....people would know I'm all about the safeties, and CBs. You can never have too many good ones, but every year during the draft people tell me ....well we have this guy , or that guy, and we don't need another, and every year during the season....the same people complain about our backfield play.....I can make no sense to it.

I'd have loved having a prime Mel Blunt and a prime Troy P. with a sprinkle of prime Jack Lambert when that New England guy dominated us. It'd have been a different story.

I paraphrase a bit but my now 85 year old sister hates Brady with a passion and she would tell us this at least 10 times a season back then.

I blame the DJ trade. If the Steelers had kept DJ, they would have drafted CB Quinyon Mitchell.

As I have stated many times before the name of Quinyon Mitchell will be brought up by Steelers fans for many drafts to come. Just like Creed Humphrey....

This question will be answered once Troy Fautanu takes the field in 2025. Grade his performance there and then. For that matter, David DeCastro suffered a similar injury in his Rookie Season.... back in 2012. Science and Sports Mediciene have come a massively long way since then; ACL no longer being the career killers they used to be.

If Fautanu continues to be injured once 2025 starts?! That will definitley bring up the discussion. Until then?! Table it for now. Way too early to label Fautanus Rookie Season anything other Incomplete.
