Well you're a complex guy! I would think Tomlin is having one of his best coaching years ever. You keep me on my heels. Err. Toes

You’re right. You actually said that Washington has going to hang 40 on us.

And? That seemed a reasonable expectation at that point. Did not mean we wouldn't score 41

DK was reporting Highsmith's ankle was not immobilized yet after the game but definitely swollen, FWIW. I guess that is good news as far as not involving broken bones.

Nobody is hanging 40 on us. Hell this high flying offense got 27, and 7 was handed to them by the stupid a$$ fake punt.

That’s kinda my point. There’s going to be highs and lows over the course of a game. Let it play out.

They said that the he was moving about ok, but used the crutches when he left the locker room. I guess some optimism given how bad it looked. Probably wouldn't know anything about the prognosis for a few days after he gets an MRI and evaluated further

Anything is possible. The way Baltimore is playing we get close to that. It does seem very unlikely though.

Unless we do some stupid crap like fake punts, and keep going for it on 4th down, and play real football. Nobody is hanging 40 on us.

Yeah, Tomlin is going to get credit for rolling the dice benching the 15th rated passer for a 35 year old guy coming off multiple calf injuries (and rightfully so). Sure, he still sucks at challenges and I think he needs to tell Teryl Austin to make a few schematic changes with the defense... but he definitely deserves credit for how the first half of the season has gone.

Washington is a good team. That was our first REAL "test" of the season against a team that is definitely going to be playing post-season ball, and we came away with the win on the road. Lets see if this team can take that next step and find a way to beat a really good Ravens team next Sunday and take control of the division.

People i guess missed we put ourselves into a bad position with not making the catch on the fake punt.

While Russell was not what he was for the other games. He still played good.

Just want to point out that the participants in the Bill Nunn Draft Room were incredibly high on Sanristil, who the Commanders took in the 2nd round (pretty sure we would have still picked Frazier), and were hoping we could pull him in the third round. He was all over the field, especially in Pickens face. Only "bad" play I saw him make was when 5'10" 180 lb'er tried to take on Darnell Washington on his first swing pass. Sanristil got there early, made a solid hit, and then got carried another five yards.
