Warren is playing on third down and getting some other snaps, but he is clearly behind Harris. Warren seems to be healthy now, but Harris was still the better back against the Giants. Also, this season has highlighted Harris's durability, another area where he has a clear advantage over Warren.

I wonder if his size is at least part of the issue. Warren is a physical runner in a small package. It stands to reason that he wouldn't hold up to punishment as well as Harris.

in fairness, I think that was part of the concern, his early injuries. was he able to make it, long term?

I wanted Tomlin to rest him, let him heal - during that time.

Warren hit a rough early patch early this season. He was ROCK SOLID last year - all season long. He may be ROCK SOLID the rest of this year - we will see.

both are valuable - this team needs both at a high level if we are to go anywhere in January.

He hasn’t gotten the opportunity as the feature back to make that claim.

It’s not like Warren has been riddled with injuries since he came into the league but I’ll give you that Harris is a very tough RB, played through a lisfranc injury which is unheard of.

He has missed time with two injuries already this season even in a limited role. Taking on a larger role makes it even more likely he would be injured again.

Conjecture, can’t predict injuries. He didn’t have any last season that I remember and played a lot.

He did have more carries last year my friend, but he still had over a hundred less than Najee. What @Formerscribe@Formerscribe , and myself (while I'm a huge fan of his(Warren)) are trying to say is.....even with this little of touches....He is getting hurt....so it makes one believe that if He even got close to Najee's touches....he wouldn't last long. IMO....they are using Him perfectly. JMO

Yeah but I dont think they have any intention of making Warren a bell cow. He’ll just slide into Harris lead roll and they’ll get someone to split the workload with him.

Harris has only gone back to being the bell cow now out of necessity, Warren and Patterson have both been out.

Fact-based conjecture. He has never carried a load line Harris has done for three-plus seasons. More playing time does equal more opportunities to get hurt. You can’t predict them perfectly, but you can anticipate probability.

Warren has been back for a few games now. He seems healthy. Harris is just playing much better.

Najee being sure handed is very underrated. Warren really struggles in weather.
