Quinton Jefferson was released by the browns, he is someone I think we take a look at

 

Looks as big as Leal but quicker and more agile

I guess it was a need, but I would rather get a DT to play a 3-4 end.

Veteran depth for a 7th…. Can’t hurt. He had 8 sacks a couple years ago and he’s solid against the run.

 

265lb edge rusher is a solid pick for depth. herbig likely won't be back for a couple of weeks

 

Where you hearing herbig is going to be out another 2 weeks? Everything I've been reading is acting like it'll be this week.

 

With 2 moves made... I do note that there are a couple teams in the crash and burn mode that will be moving players to get picks.
So, since we made those 2 moves, I don't know if we are in a position to leverage a key player from any of those teams.
I think we keep picks and move on.

Not sure exactly where I heard it but he is not practiced fully this week.. Perhaps he is back against the Ravens but I don't believe you see him back against Redskins

 

Funny, I just posted about how Loudermilk and Leal were square pegs going into round holes in a 3-4 defense, and now the Steelers add another guy who is too small to play DE, and 2 slow to play OLB in a 3-4.

I just watched 1 video from Noah, talking about Smith being a good change up for Heyward and Larry'O, and then another video from a Pittsburgh station on Smith, being a good compliment to Watt, and Highsmith.

Preston Smith just looks like a bad fit for a 3-4 defense.

 

But, Pittsburgh Steelers OLBs are required to drop back into Pass Coverage from time to time. You think this guy has ever had to cover a TE or RB on a passing route?

I had my finger crossed that we would have traded for Calais Campbell.

 

You can never have enough pass rushers in this league. Good signing.

 

Did the injury report come out? I thought it came out on Wednesday.
