Don’t know how much this moves the needle. Players coming off a ACL injury usually need a season to get back to where they were.

Hopefully he is ahead of schedule and they get something out of him for the second half. At a 100% there is no doubt he is better than anyone we have after Pickens.

No, I believe that the GM's job is on the line, and needs every win he can get to keep his job. No reason to accumulate draft picks for next year if you will be fired this year.

Watching the PreSeason Hard Knocks with the Giants showed how much that owner wanted to keep Barkley, but the GM wanted to get rid of Barkley, so he could build his team around Daniel Jones. It will be a miracle if the GM keeps his job, because of how Bad he screwed up the offseason.

Didn't he used to play for your other favorite team?

While I can agree that there is a reason why he hasn't contributed with the Jets, I disagree that nothing gets accomplished. Jefferson has been a major disappointment so far, and even with the zero contribution, he has outperformed Jefferson so far this season in yards.... This is an upgrade, and if anything, gives us another weapon that is good catching deep passes for Wilson. Pickens running the X, Williams working downfield, and Austin working the underneath for catch and run opportunities sounds like a pretty good balance. It also gives us depth if anyone other than Pickens goes down.

It's a good deal. We used one of our multiple 5th rounders to try to shore up a weaker point of our roster heading into the home stretch. Low cost, and even a middling return is probably worth it. This at least signals that we think we have a roster than can win in the playoffs. Doing nothing wasn't the right move.

Yes, and normally, they only get rid of future HOFers.

It feels like a 6th would have been more like value. Oft injured, has done nothing in NY, I'm not against it, but it's kind of a meh move, B- C+ kinda territory. Just to clarify, I don't think it's terrible by any means.

I hope he does great and it ends up a steal though.

We gave up a 5th that we had multiple picks during that round. I think you are really splitting hairs with your comment. I would rather had someone more elite but they didn’t give up much at all.

I'm not splitting hairs, it's simply what I think, he does fit with Wilson's downfield airdrop passes though.

Aaron Rogers is weird individual. I blame him and his desire to feed “his guys” more than Williams. Maybe MW didn’t worship his diva ego enough.

In theory he should be a good fit in this offence. He wouldn’t have been my first choice but fingers crossed he can contribute

I guess I'm just happy we got something at WR. Not thrilled, but happy. I thought this guy was going to be the next Megatron when he came out of Clemson, but he really never lived up to his pre-draft hype even before he got injured.

Mike Williams is 6'4" and 220 pounds, Arthur Smith has to love this trade.

Not sure why you think a 6'4" WR would not like the drop passes from Russell when going against a 5'Something DB???

Steelers had to make this deal. There was literally nothing left of consequence at the trade deadline. I think it at least gives us some real depth at WR now.

Jefferson was our second WR....Williams was their number 4 since they had Adams....We will see for the rest of the season I guess but career wise Williams was much better that Jefferson. We need to wait and see what will happens
