When you look at his face during the games ot looks like he would rather be anywhere else. I think he is giving a lot of thought to retiring

Are there any NFL fans that are rooting for this guy at this point? I'd think that even Jets fans are starting to hate him.

The thing that surprised me the most about Aaron Rodgers is how immobile he is. He does not move outside the pocket at all.

I love how in the post game interview Rodgers kept referring to his team as "They". "They seemed a little flat in warmups".

Not a big surprise considering his major injury he had last year and he is old now....Roethlisberger could not move at the end of his career too

He really should be thinking about
retirement. He can't move or step into his throws.
If opposing teams put pressure on him he is done.

Rodgers cap number- 2025- $23.5 million
    2026- $63 million
    2027- $21 million.

Void years and post-June 1st cuts can drag his contract all the way into 2029.

Rogers has not had a 300 yd passing game in almost 3 years (December, 2021 against the Bears).

December, 2021 was also the last time that Roethlisberger had a 300 yard passing game!....The difference he was retiring the month after!

Rarely has a star QB left their team and had success, way Johnny U, Namath, Pastorini, Stabler, Hadl, ot new teams with little to no success, Plunkett actually found success for the first time going to Oakland. Montana took KC to a championship game, recently of course Brady and Manning won SB's, the latter was pretty broken when he did it. His CAP hit in GB was a disaster for them, lucky the Jets took him, though he negotiated it to be more team friendly, the numbers above the cost is still a burden. I do not think (or hope) Russ has delusions of grandeur (even is he balls out the rest of the year..and more importantly Ihope the front office remembers the mess we had with Ben and that contract at the end. You can fool the eyes for a period of time, but father time catch's us all, and fools we become thinking we can beat it. Unless your George Blanda or Tom Brady, lol.

Aaron Rodgers is world class, after all, he did just agree to sign Beanie Bishop's 2 INT balls. :dancing:

Rodgers' last year under active contract is 2025, followed by four void years. Assuming he plays it, a $35M option bonus is triggered next year, accounted for as $7M/yr over five years. His cap hit in 2025 would be $23.5M (adding in his base and proration amounts).

If he were then to retire, all of the void year accruals (signing + option bonus prorations) hit the Jets' books in 2026, which comes to $63M. Alternatively, they have the option of designating him a post-June 1st retiree and would split that amount between 2026 and '27 - as $21M and $42M, respectively.

And the jag offs only SB was us.

You would think the Green Bay Packers would have a ton of Super Bowls since they have had franchise QB's for a long time. Bart Starr, Bret Favre, Rodgers, they had each one for like 15-16 years.

My first NFL game was the Packers and this young boy was excited to see Bart Starr but I guess he was injured and didn't play.

After the Jets miss the playoffs, I bet Rodgers calls it quits and retires.

There are a lot of rival quarterbacks from over the years that I could deal with being on the Steelers. Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, even Joe flacco. But one guy that I would have a lot of trouble rooting for if he came to the Steelers would be Aaron Rodgers. Don't know why, but I've always found him to be an arrogant prick..... Not the confident type, but the actual arrogant prick type....lol

On second thought, I do know why. It's because he's an arrogant prick.
