Well he had 2 taken away from him. But those can't count.

Ok, speaking of the td taken away from him. Did anyone see the jets wr get the td for virtually the same one legged catch as Pickens?

Yeah, I came on to mention it. Garrett Wilson's left foot hit twice inbounds but other foot never came down. Actually, his other foot did come down but his knee was clearly out by then. So, it was a catch with a left foot and left shin. What?

I couldn't believe it when they called it a TD because this just happened to GP.

Amazing catch, and I think it should've been a TD, but you have to follow the same rule for everyone.

I came to say the same.
I know the rules, but If a foot, and a shin on the same leg should count.....then the same foot twice should count. Yes I know it's not the rules, but I can't see the difference. Now if it was a foot, and then a shin from the other leg....I get it, but dude scored last night with a foot, and then a shin from the same leg....

You guys clearly don't know the rules and aren't paying attention either. It was explained very clearly during the broadcast. Wilson's shin came down. The rule is 2 feet or any other body part, excluding hands. A shin counts as 2 feet.
Did Pickens shin touch the ground? If not, it's not even close to being the same thing and the rules are the same for everyone.

Without Pickens, would we have a legit threat to throw deep? He is tall and fairly physical.

Has to put some fear in defensive coordinators. Don`t they usually put their best guy on him?

Only way to evolve into a more potent offense (and truly compete) is Pickens catching deep throws on a regular basis.

Bottom line: Pickens is key to our passing game IMO.

I believe everyone knows the rules, as has been stated. Nobody is saying it's not the the rules. What is being stated is it makes no sense. Same foot twice on the same leg doesn't count (we know this), but the same foot, and shin on the same leg counts(we know this), but it still makes no sense.

That's your take. I wasn't referring to you when I said people don't know the rules and didn't pay attention to the explanation given. I have no problem with people disagreeing with the rules. What I have no time for is when people refuse to take the time to learn before spouting BS.
The quotes are below and are self-explanatory

As for Pickens, I appreciate his talent. I appreciate what he brings to this team. I don't appreciate his ongoing lack of effort on many plays.
Just watch the guy coming out of his breaks. He's lazy and uninterested on many plays.

I'm sorry I wasted your time by spouting BS. It's unacceptable and I'd like to make it right. Seriously, this is important.

How much time would you say that you spent reading my post? What compensation do you feel would make you whole again? Is there any amount of money? I'll never be at peace again if you don't let me fix this.

It's all good. Some people choose to educate and inform themselves. Others refuse to do so and have no problem spouting misinformation.

    You do you.

IMO he wants the fame with being great ,I think he is a this is my brand dude..I also think he sees himself as better than others who have had or are building that rep... I actually agree with him , I think his talent is and can be great he just needs to put the work in ..With that said he really does that in those 1 on 1 situations I am sure he thinks if you throw it to me more I will make the plays to help us win...

Getting another deep ball threat on the other side of the field should help with that .. Austin needs to get inside and run more breaking routes find the spot in the zone ...Our QB is a great Deep Ball thrower and is accurate enough to hit crossers in stride ...So I hope to see more of those 3 on the field together ....It should be very hard to shut down the run and stop all 3 of these guys at the same time..

We shall see. I think wilson will improve him. He is in the top 4 right now with Chase, wilson (jets) flowers.

The only one I know that is 100% going is chase. And then pro be 2 out of those 3.

I think the catch has been a problem for the NFL for a long time. From the days of "Dez Caught it", "Megatron caught it" to "Jesse James caught it"... The NFL is constantly looking at the definition of the catch to make it make sense. They generally only make changes to their definition after a situation comes up and causes them to reflect on it. Maybe this catch/non-catch will, and maybe it won't. But just because there are rules in place, doesn't mean they are right/wrong, and that they shouldn't be challenging the definition at every opportunity to improve.

GP is the man. I get that he gets "sloppy/disinterested" from time to time, but I honestly think its partially a body language thing too. The WR position around the league is full of divas, and when you have someone on your team that is as good as GP, you try to make it work.

He's going to be highly paid. We should consider a 4 year deal worth around 30 million a year and then go and pay a #2 to complement him.... I think it needs to be someone who can get vertical, to really force teams to not be able to overplay safety help to GP's side. Williams should be a good litmus test for that the rest of the year. It doesn't have to be him, but someone like him that can stretch the field vertically should put TONS of pressure on the defense.

George Pickens is currently 16th in yards 50th in receptions and 42nd in touchdowns

    I’m not overly impressed

I did not check his stats on third down in the second quarter when they were in the I formation
