Simple question. Are the Steelers aggressive enough to take us all the way to and win a Super Bowl? We see other teams making splash moves right now but the Steelers are so far just standing pat as for trades. I know it’s not their forte but should it be in todays NFL?

Fair enough but Pickens ( Not George per say) are getting slim.

The last half of the schedule is tough. We are going to need to do much better inside the opponents 20 yard line.

Let's keep in mind that Aiyuk was having a subpar season before having a season ending injury. The Jets are 0-2 with Davante Adam's. Hopkins had an uneventful debut with the Chiefs.

The moral of the story is that the grass isn't always greener. At this point I think the Steelers would be wise to go with what they have.

I think Hopkins will help the chiefs in the long run.The Jets are awful no matter what. This is not only about the short term but in the long run too...For the WR position, don't need to be a star, just a another good option they need

I can't answer to the aggressiveness because I don't know what they have or haven't done with talking with other teams about trades.

As far as the SB goes, I've never noticed a connection between making in-season trades and getting to the SB.

DJ didn't make our offense more explosive or improve our chances of making a SB, but he supposedly greatly improves the Ravens chances. ???

i dunno, we are leading our division and are 6-2. we are getting an offseason acquisition back and several injured players. i think we are looking pretty good right now. we are also going to have our draft picks and our first round pick back by next season and a lot of cap space. why eat into that for a half a year rental? who do you want to take touches away from for this # 2 guy that a team is willing to trade away? the top guys are gone and ours are on the rise since the change at QB.

Jefferson and Austin have played well since Russ has taken over. Amazing how much better a WR can look when you have a QB in there that can see open receivers and deliver the ball to them.

Who knows. To execute a trade, you need a willing partner. We don't know what conversations have been had by the Steelers brass or what offers have been made.
DJ was dirt cheap, but he couldn't come back here. We shipped him away because it wasn't working.
    Cupp probably isn't leaving LA.
Aiyuk was likely very expensive, which is why nobody traded for him.
Hopkins would have been a really good trade I think. That's the ideal WR for Wilson. I'll admit that I wish they found a way to pull that one off, but again, who knows what happened behind the scenes.

In terms of playcalling, no, we're not aggressive enough. We don't blitz enough.
I also wish we were more aggressive against WR's. We just give them too much open space. Mahomes will pick us apart

Last day to participate in the trade deadline. Seems like quite a few missed opportunities. D Hop was a beast last night for the Chiefs. He definitely upgrades their already strong offense. Wish the Steelers would have grabbed him.
