Cam Sutton has officially been reinstated from suspension

Sutton is going to be huge for us...

I think they will play him on the outside. Him and Joey locking people up ... our defense is going to be dangerous.

Isnt he best in the slot? Why would they move DJ and insert Sutton?..... Nvr mind its a Tomlin thang

Sutton is a slot CB.

 

I’d venture to guess that it would not be allowed. Actually I’d probably bet my house on it.

 

Cam Sutton was their #1, he doesn’t need to be a #1 here.

Plus he didn’t always play bad in Detroit, there were times he held his own against really good receivers.

 

Not allowed to practice or be at the facility since end of preseason.

 

I understand they will practice tomorrow, then will be off until Monday. NFL requires four consecutive days off during the bye week.

Some things are lining up well for us. Before we have even one divisional game, we have figured out our QB situation and know what we have, we got Cam back, and we get a bye week to get ready. Now if someone can just keep reminding Tomlin over the break that we have a 6' 7" TE, we'll be looking good.

 

We also get Frazier, herbig back.

 

Yeah maybe try targeting him more than a few times and see what happens

I'm cautiously optimistic about the return of Sutton. I agree with those who say he should be used as a slot CB.

So far I think he's caught everything thrown to him and been a truck after the catch.

 

The return of Sutton is welcome. He knows this defense and should be able to quickly work his way into it.
But I am aware of the caution - That's a long time to be away from contact and then to jump right into the battle could be tough.
He'd be in the slot if it were me.
