Not saying he couldn't help the Steelers, but I 100% disagree that it was a mistake. Donte Jackson has been a great addition.

Slayton is the guy I would want. The Steelers got an up-close look at just how good he can be last night.

Jackson was terrible last night and he is not as good a player as Johnson, but Johnson had to go. The mistake was not getting a viable replacement. If they could get Slayton at a reasonable price, that would correct the error.

Terrible feels harsh...would have to see the numbers. But that would be a small sample size given his production this season overall. Johnson just too "EMO" for me.

Agree x 2 on not getting a replacement and Slayton.

I think Slayton is in the last year of his contract, he can probably be had for maybe a 5th or 6th round pick.

I never said it was a mistake. I said they would be saying it was a mistake.

Before last night's game, The Athletic ran an article arguing that the Giants should be looking to deal some players in the final years of their contracts if they lost to the Steelers. The first guy they wrote about was Slayton, projecting that he would only cost a sixth or seventh round pick. His big game last night might boost his value a little. I'd give up a fifth-rounder for Slayton and a seven. He seems like an excellent fit.

Deontae Johnson cannot be traded back to the team that traded him last offseason.

I wouldn't want him back anyway.

I am really changing my tune on this year with the Russell Wilson emergence. I know CA3 had a nice game but we will not actually contend for a Chip with this WR group. Make a Fing move!!

#26 was killing me last night with all the blown coverages. Seemed like every time the Giants had a deep pass play it was because of #26.

He was struggling, but the Giants were also getting Fitzpatrick out of position. Daboll is a very good offensive coach. He just doesn't have a good offensive line or quarterback.

The only reason I can see the Giants not trading him is if they think they can re-sign him. He is only 27. He has been a solid player for them since his rookie season in 2019. He's not a star, but we all saw what he can do as a complimentary piece last night.

He would be dumb to re-sign to them, they don't have a QB because they are cutting Jones during the off season to avoid the bulk of his contract. They are trading him because I highly doubt he would come back when he could sign with a contender

We have a 6th from the Texans for Green and two 5ths. If the Steelers wanted Slayton or Meyers they could easily get them, they are just trying to do it on the cheap.

Get Slayton or Ridley...Chiefs, Bills, Ravens all made a move....If Steelers think they have a team that can win, gotta add a weapon.
