With the NIL money it is now legal… will we see some kind of cap in the future?

I agree. When I ask myself who among the current crop of college QBs will be the best pro 5 years from now, he’s the guy that pops into mind first.

None pop into my mind as of yet.
Hell last year the only guy I thought had a chance was the LSU kid, but I thought he was so fragile looking.
I know I sound like a old man get of my lawn,,but every year the actual Qb play seems worse. Not athletic abilities of the Qb, but the actual play of the Qbs.

I heard a conversation on this subject yesterday on the radio driving home from work. There is a plan already in the works to put a cap on NIL that schools can spend each season. It was compared to when the limit was put on scholarships to keep programs from just stacking athletes to keep them from other schools.
It's an effort to maintain parity in college athletics. I guess if an SEC/BIG10 school has a 20M dollar NIL budget for football, and an AAC/Sunbelt school also has a 20M dollar NIL budget for football, maybe local kids stay local more often than go dollar chasing?

If that does happen, Florida, Texas, and California schools will benefit greatly with their talent pool.

I don't know if redshirt junior Nick Vattiato, MTSU QB, is planning to enter the 2025 draft but I will recommend giving this guy a look. The team is not good on any measurement scale. Vattiato is a QB turning heads. If he does not enter the '25 draft, I expect him to enter the portal for a program with more national exposure.

Don't love him. He has some fire, but QB's under 6' almost never work out in the NFL. Since Doug Flutie the only guys that have been good under 6' are Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson. Vick and Brees were listed 6' exactly.

    I think he's a good college QB, but I don't think he's a serious NFL prospect.

Howard played okay from what I could tell today. Had the pick six early on a telegraphed throw and the fumble at the pylon to ruin what was otherwise a solid enough day. Not sure he's a first round prospect, but he is alright. Feels like a Mariota ability passer that's built like Big Ben. Allar underwhelmed again. I know that the PSU folks in here love him, but I don't see it with him in the NFL.

This class is hit or miss in my eyes. Ewers is solid, Ward and Milroe aren't safe but both ooze potential (in different ways), Dart seems like a good prospect. Beck is ok too. Sanders has the personality issues, but as a player projects fairly well to the NFL offense. Last draft class looked a lot better IMO. It is deeper with ok prospects, but I am not sure any of them are as good of prospects as the top 3 from last season.

If I had to take any of them, I think Milroe sitting and learning for a year or two is probably what I would lean towards. I hope we go other positions (WR, DL) next season.

I still like Beck even though he has thrown 11 ints this season.. he gets right back on the horse and he finds ways to win games

Yeah, he's going to be hit or miss for sure. He feels A LOT like Jalen Hurts as a prospect. He is either going to figure it out and be good, or just bounce around as a back up with "potential" for his career. He's very hot and cold, but with good coaching maybe he runs hot a lot more than he does cold.

Allar, not impressed at all with him. I realize he has good career numbers, but when he plays good teams, he absolutely disappears. i really thought this was the year to beat Ohio State.
Penn State had 1st n goal at 5, not once but twice in this game and didn’t score any points

Ture, but he is going to play with NFL players in the NFL... so it kinda is a moot point. Yes, players playing with a stacked roster are going to look better... but compared to college rosters, all NFL rosters are stacked.

Difference is , and I shouldn't have to explain this...., and it's why most Ohio State Qbs look good in college.....is because He's not playing against that type of competition in college, and when many many many Ohio State Qb come to the NFL, and are playing against equal competition....all of a sudden.....they don't look so hot.
Like this guy.....He will definitely have to stop staring down the guys He throws to ....in the NFL
