If you say it enough it will happen eventually....., but You said it about the Raiders, and the Jets, and neither happened

The trap was their Qb got hurt, and the 10-2 Flacco played.

With our D, and Special teams, and a unrusty Russell LoL....they are all winnable games. I still think 10, or 11 wins. It's hard to be perfect.

Well if the offense could have scored more than 17 points we would have won that game.

That was the game Tomlin had seen enough of Fields… depleted Cowboys defense… that was a debacle as coach Cowher would say
Cowboys just stacked the line to stop the run

gong with Steelers big over gintz , tomlin may be the king of disappointment but felt some chemistry with the offense when Russell played . Hope to see better and better qb and receiver play that will also help the run game .

I said that about Raiders but not Jets. False news. Jets have a HOF QB.....Steelers did too, but he was rusty and hadn't played since Dec 23.

Hope this is not a repeat of 2009. Steelers started out 6-2 and collapsed like a cheap tent.

Yeah, but we had young Roethlisberger, Miller at TE, Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes in '08 and Mike Wallace in '10. That's slightly better than old Wilson, Friermuth, Pickens and Jefferson.

that's true, but VERY POOR adjustments made that day.

tomlin has seen Flacco a time or 2 ;)

and as has been documents, Richardson and that offense marched up and down the field at ease, until he went out.

    running and throwing

but we could agree - as again has been outlined many times here, that we have been trapped many times, vs. very POOR opposition. I don't see this as much (sure - it happens) but not as much with other supposed 'strong' teams in the league.

a 7-2 old time Pats team RARELY lost to a 1-8 Bucs or Jets team, as an example.

Tomlin seems to have a knack for the letdown, trap game. Players have commented on it as well, see the AZ game last year.

Yeah,in that game but Richarson went out,the colts were like at 5 yards away to being up 14-0 and they did a few play later. The defense had a awful start in that game when Richarson was their QB

slightly. BUT - we have a STUD RB tandem. Pickens has more RAW talent than Holmes and Wallace. And Russ KNOWS how to win.

    stay tuned....

this D is STACKED, by the way. Short of colossal injury, should be in the hunt well into January. Win a playoff game......or 2 or......... ___________________ !!!!!

This is definitely the best D we've had since the Lebeau era. I'm still skeptical and concerned about the D line without Heyward vs the run. I hope Henry/Ravens don't gash the D like Dalvin Cook did a few years back when we played MIN. The ILBs have played better than last year.... even though Queen, Roberts, Wilson have had their bad moments. CBs are better and improved. SS has been upgraded.

2021 was a awful year for the defense of the steelers outside for Watt...I mean they were last in run defense that year!

Also,I agree for your concern for our run defense against Henry and the ravens....The duo Henry-Lamar in the backfield are almost impossible to contain and when Lamar throw well like he is this year so far(118 passing rating)this is a nightmare for opposing defense....The good news is that the ravens have a poor pass defense right now

Let's see if Runyan is confident to go one on one with Watt.
