Watching Rich Eisen yesterday, his guest was Dulac. Dulac said Fields wasn’t allowed to throw to the MOF, in which we knew, but also said Fields wasn’t allowed to audible but could check down.
Sucks when you have a qb that isn’t allowed to audible.

 

The defense had alot to do with the TDs. The field position they were giving the offense was stellar.

 

I feel like if old flacco can play at 40 Wilson will be just fine.

They told him he would get first team reps in the beginning of training and there would be competition (pole position)

And here we are apparently he won the competition in training

I was following a video/chat feed on a YT channel. The steelers made a 1st down and the chat erupted, it felt like what you just said, I thought Myron Cope must be crapping in his grave if he knew we had fallen so far, lol.

 

Hopefully Wilson quells the drama. I hate it. That's all you hear about. I listen to 93.7 the Fan on Audacy through Amazon. The shows are riddled ad nauseam. So much I shut them off. The only one is Paul Alexander who has solid takes on the Steelers.

Russell Wilson went to the Giants first and left because they wouldn't guarantee him the starting job. Pittsburgh guaranteed Russell the starting job, and when they told Kenny this he then demanded a trade.

The whole pole position thing started later when they traded for Justin Fields.

 

I don't believe this. I have seen Fields change from a run to a pass, and opposite. Not like every play, but I've seen it. Maybe they don't allow it a lot, but it has been done. I've even pointed it out during game day threads.

I've heard Fields will be getting some snaps tonight as well, Taysom Hill style.

 

It was pretty simple actually. One Example Najee was Standing behind Fields in a one back set. The center relayed something to Fields....Fields made hand signals, and called out. The TE moved in, and Najee went out wide. It's not really difficult to see that it was changed.

Actually, having pole position guarantees starting at the head of field at the beginning of the race (not practice, not the day before, not warm ups, but having starting first place of the race itself).

I'm sure political Tomlin can spin "pole position" to whatever suits his fancy... but in car racing, it means guaranteed starting position of the actual race.
