That's for those that know. LoL

Actually let's say Russell Wilson has the same types of game that Fields has. We win if the D, and special teams do exactly what they have in our wins, but we lose if they do what they have in our loses???
How long do you give Russell then to see if He can do even more. Just curious at what others think.

Shouldn't this thread be started when we are 8-4?? That sounds fair and what my kids do in their kindergarten.

Then we can have a real debate about whether it makes sense to give Kyle Allen a try since the offense is still the same crap as under Fields, and "we will find out what Allen can do". :roflmao:

My humble opinion is that Fields played well enough not to lose four out of six games. I don’t think there was a game that one can say Fields carried the team and won. If the D plays lights out we won. If we are to make a run, the O needs to step up a bit more

Russ is gonna play better than expected. Hes rested and has experience. Steelers will be prepared for this game anyway. Cause theres alot of hype surrounding the game and its primetime. Tomlin is at his best in these types of games.

I will miss the ability to run when in trouble but Wilson is a way better QB then Fields regardless of age.

IMO Wilson getting us to 6-2 before break.

JF running ability and TDs scores had a lot to do with us winning. Russ can’t do that. I will agree JF leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to passing but having the worst WR room in the NFL doesn’t help.

I’m rooting for Russel Wilson to come in and be the Steelers offensive savior. If he plays lights out then the skies the limit with our defense and ST’s. I just don’t believe he’s gonna be who he once was. I would have a short leash for Wilson if he takes sacks and turns the ball over. Unfortunately MT will probably allow 4 or 5 sacks and three INT’s and still play him the following week.

You aren’t gonna answer your own question?

To me this question is basically saying that if our D and special teams play great it doesn’t matter who the QB is we are gonna win. But if the D and special teams play bad it also doesn’t matter who the QB is we are gonna lose.

This question we cannot answer until we see if RW performs poorly or great. IMO they are gonna give him the Jets and the Giants and then the decision will be made during the bye week. If we lose both games it was a stupid decision, if we win both games and he performs well it was a great decision.

That's why Wilson was on the blocking sled to begin with - to be a lead blocker for Fields. I still want to see the Double QB triple Lindy flea flicker. Wilson gets the snap, hands the ball to Harris, who runs right, here comes Fields on a reverse, Harris flips it to him, Fields pitches back to Wilson, and Wilson throws it to Pickens for a TD.

I think 3 to 4 games at most if not seeing the deep ball connection working... If it works the rest will work better if not the Offense will not be as good as it was with Fields ..Peeps say Rus needs time to throw the deep ball that's simply not true ... He throws a moon ball basically a punt the WR covers the yardage while the ball is the air ..Hang time if you will.. Those 2 have to be in sink as the ball is launched to a spot and its up to the WR to get that spot at the exact right time ...

Maybe the thought is....Fields is not seeing the field as well as he needs. There are plays he is missing and simply running the ball himself. As has been discussed in other threads, this is not the recipe for success for any football team.

On the other hand, Russ is more capable of running the offense as intended. Russ is not the athlete Fields is, but he is still athletic enough to not just be a statue.

This would mean a couple things off the top to me. 1. Can the OL just do it's job and stop letting the free rushers happen. 2. Is it the offense itself, or the way it's being run that is the real issue.

Seems to me, this week and possibly next week are about getting these questions answered.

against the Chiefs there would be 8 flags on the play and all of the infractions different.
