Looking at the last 9 games the Steelers have to win 5 of them to secure a playoff spot and it will be hard but not impossible. We absolutely have to sweep the Browns, split with Bengals and Ravens and then get one more win from either the Redskins, Eagles or Chiefs. It is doable.

True, but the Raiders game was the first game he was able to play in. Would be nice if he catches a few passes against the Jets, because they can use the help.

The media wrong about the Steelers yet again. I don't really see the need in wrs....as of now Our Qb doesn't really connect with the Wrs. We have one wrs td, and that's Ca111

Just because I'm greedy I would like to see the Steelers trade for DK Metcalf. Have DK and GP outside and CA3/Wilson in the slot.

No freaking way they let him go. We have to look to the teams that think they will be out if it. Those are the teams we could get another wr from

It's clear to anyone that even though Adams didn't control where he went, his preferences were the Jets with Rodgers or the Saints with Derek Carr. I think a second rounder in the deal would have brought him here. But at his age and cap number, it was wise not to do it. Too many other needs on this team to give away low round picks. Beyond that, I don't think he turns the Jets fortunes around much anyway. I think Rodgers is a piss poor leader and an arrogant jerk that can't elevate his teammates. if they can bring in a guy with pedigree that has underperformed, whether it's injuries or situation and not give up much to do it, that's the move to be made. Maybe they could even get DHop (which I highly doubt) at a price that isn't unreasonable.

And yet at least one knucklehead here is claiming Omar Kahn blew it

It is hard to say he blew it by not getting Adams, but he absolutely blew it by trading away Johnson and not acquiring a viable replacement.

doable - yes. 50/50 or less odds, right now. Should not have been losing to the Colts or Cowboys. Both of them suck. We knew entering the season that we had to go 8-1 early. Did not happen and the Jets will be no walk in the park.

the defense thought the Colts game was a BYE week and the offense just sucked vs. the Boys, it is why Fields will sit this week.

he did not blow it IF that is what He, Tomlin and Smith agreed to. There is a pot of $$ and roster spots. They CHOSE to move ALL the chips to defense. If they collectively felt that had the pieces in place, then they collectively failed. No one saw the Wilsons (QB and WR) getting injured. And no one saw the OLINE getting decimated and J Warren playing on one leg.

Only 6 weeks in. Few teams are going to think they are totally out of it.

Agreed, but I think the Raiders, and the Browns did. It's why they let those guys leave. At least I believe that's why. I could be totally wrong.

Johnson had to go but yes 100% on not acquiring a replacement

And Johnson was ranked about 75th in receiving last year it wouldn’t seem to have been hard to replace that

Perhaps he was expecting a little more out of Van Jefferson and Wilson.3

I think the Browns did that. I think the Raiders traded a guy that was refusing to play for them.

How do you make a pouting WR see what he's really worth? Throw him the ball and make him the focus of the offense. Let him prove himself or fail. Have those conversations now before he wants to hold out and such.

It is hard to believe we didn't bring in a more high profile WR.

If you mean Johnson as the pouting receiver he was well beyond that and surely had his chances

    Now Pickens ok

I'm not blaming him for the issues on the line or at running back. They have been decimated by injuries there, but the issue at receiver was easy to foresee. I don't care who agreed to trading Johnson without acquiring a valid replacement. The decision was still a poor one. Khan is the GM. That's on him first and foremost.

I don't buy blaming the issue on Roman Wilson's injury, either. Counting on him as their slot or No. 4 would have been fine, but insisting that the third-round pick has to be one of their top two receivers is foolish.

I initially meant Pickens. But since you bring up DJ, he was made the focus of the passing game even if not the offense. He didn't exactly shine from my memory. But rather than taking that info and using it, he doubled down. Now he's in Carolina.

LSU @ Arkansas should be a great game this week. Maybe better than Bama/UT or Georgia/Texas.

But back to possible WRs to trade for....
I don't know much about Burks other than he is big.
The Patriots have Antonio Gibson. He is listed as a RB but played WR in college. Very versatile offensive player.
Christian Kirk from the Jags would be a nice get.
