A medium rare thick Diamond Jim Brady cut Prime Rib sounds about right but don't know where it's served outside of Sin City and Beverly Hills. Maybe a Wagyu cheeseburger on a Brioche bun with beer battered fries instead?

 

Looks like Chili this week, and I hope for more....because I'm making enough to freeze for the next game. I'm still trying to eat all the gumbo I made last week. Bad luck a$$ gumbo.

 

Back in 1982 I moved to Chicago and an old relative told me I should go to Diamond Jim’s Steakhouse under the “L”

4 years later I figured out it was actually George Diamond’s Steakhouse 2 blocks south of the “L”

It was very good

I have always wanted to get a Chicago Dog from a street cart. Got one in New Orleans but can't remember if I enjoyed it. Friends say I was on a Lucky Dog mission that night.

Doing power restoration after Hurricane Milton, so it’ll be whatever the power company is feeding us or some kind of restaurant food.

hope you guys didn't get hit too bad. my dads in orlando came through much better than expected. they never lost power. it's mostly underground there, which helps. what part are you in? siesta key got hit hard. those were some fine beaches. sand like talcum powder. i used to live in homestead, prior to andrew. that one wiped them out. stay safe.

 

It’s Pizza

They started making deep dish pizza and people thought it was special

I’m not a bread eater so making thicker dough didn’t do anything for me

 

I like buying food from street vendors

Someone questioned my doing this particularly in Mexico

But street vendors make their living on locals not tourists and if the food is not good they will go out of business quickly so they make it good

Another thing I learned traveling is if you want a good local restaurant and not an expensive or tourist place ask a police officer where they take their family

They know every place and they don’t have a lot of money to spend

 

I'm up for a hot dawg at street vendor.
I like mine with mustard and sauerkraut.

Today, I imagine I'll do beer brats on the grill.
And beer, mass amounts of beer.

I have an excellent old time butcher shop near me so I’m highly opposed to freezing meat

Have to tightly packaged not worried.
