Just looking at Bradshaw stats, he would be considered a scrub in this era.

Are those numbers after some of the names supposed to be coherent in some way? Also, what the hell do the asteriks mean. I'm so confused

I love re-visiting some of the box scores from the 70's. Some of Bradshaw numbers in a lot of games are crap. One of my favorites is against the KC Chiefs, he was 7 for 15 for a total of 132 yards. One TD and one INT. And the Steelers won 45-0. Steelers had one hell of a run game in the 70's.

With all due respect to Rocky Bleier I'd take Jerome Bettis. Unless it is just a starting line-up the 70 teams.

And no matter who you put in on D, so many great ones to choose from, Casey Big Snack Hampton has to shore up that D interior. Man I miss that dude.

come on. you get this. He's a fan from my age group. Those teams were the teams that rescued us from famdom like the Browns or Bengals. I agree with him.

Actually I have no idea how old he is and couldn’t care less. If he is that old then he should realize that more than likely the players from back then would get smoked by the players of today. Back then 260lbs was a big offensive linemen. You don’t even sniff the combine at 260lbs today. The players are simply bigger, stronger, and faster.

players today might be bigger and faster (the linemen on both sides are certainly fatter) but the guys back then played smarter, were tougher, and had better technique (tackling for instance)

I tell you something young man. This if they were allowed to play today the way they played back then, it would take a full day to finish a game with all the flags that would be thrown.
