I’m afraid of spiders. The way they move is unnatural.

I think we may see Russ soon and I’m fine with it. He may give us a spark as others above have said. Maybe the defenses will respect our passing game a little more than they do now and loosen up the run game a bit. Gotta see him sometime so the sooner the better. As you said, we can always go back to Fields if he stinks (or gets crushed behind this Oline).

LoL. I have never used an outhouse. I have seen them back in the day, but I've never personally used one.
Unless porta potty count...I've used them at job sights. LoL
I have two bathrooms, and one I let all the spiders do whatever in, and I go in there, and watch them. LoL

 

There’s another thing to consider with Russ. He was visiting the Giants then the Steelers then some other teams. Tomlin basically told him he’d be starter here to keep him from even visiting other teams.

if Coach T never gives him his shot, he will have lost credibility when trying to get future free agents to come here. It makes sense to give him a shot. They made him a captain so I’m hoping that means he looked much better in camp than Fields did.

 

In Pennsylvania up in the forested areas hunting camps etc typically still use outhouses

If he doesnt have it anymore they easily go back to fields and develop him a bit. He was the backup going into this season anyway

Rushing yards during Masons Wins with a OL that had played most year together.

106 yards rushing
202 yards rushing
144 yards rushing

Rushing yards during Fields Wins with a brand new OL

140 yards rushing (57 Fields)
139 yards rushing (27 Fields)
109 yards rushing (6 Fields)

As you can see we had a more solid line while Mason was QB, We were just barely hitting 100 yards rushing with our RB’s.

Our 2 losses we have only had

117 (55 Fields) rushing
83 (27 Fields) rushing

We aren’t comparing Apples to Apples from last year to this year. Heck we had Johnson and Pickens last year for MR

This year Fields has Pickens.

Out failures are not because of our QB play.

 

I see upside in Fields. Pickett/Trub had 0 upside. So last year's logic doesn't apply in this situation.

What do you hope to achieve with the change? Win the SB? Claw your way to a "winning season"? What do you hope to achieve by taking out a QB that has shown he's improving and replace him with a 34 year old that isn't a long term solution?

 

Absolutely no way this D can be remotely like the D from 2008. Not even close.

The players are no where near the caliber of the old defense. Lebeau was a good 10000 times better than all of the loser coaches today combined.

this is a playoff team that can make a post season run. Just let the line get healthy and add good Qb play. We brought Wilson in for that. They should play him.

 

Your post fits right in with what the Steelers have done since 2010.

 

Pickett had no arm, had no speed, no pocket presence, was jittery and couldn't stay healthy. All of that was pretty obvious long before they let him go. He had no upside and didn't show any upside over two seasons - it's pretty odd to compare Pickett to Fields who is literally improving week over week.

No way this team makes a post season run... They gave up a ~9minute drive early in the 3rd quarter to Dallas. they let Dallas run the clock out to end the game on last play. They let the geezer Flacco rip them to shreds. Everyone is delusional with how much the media hypes up the defense.

On offense, they have no real WR other than #14 who doesn't feel like trying hard half the time. #22 has no vision but they insist on running him into stacked boxes. They draft LTs and then play them at RT. It's a mess.

The only bright spots on offense have been QB, C and the 3rd string RB who got injured because he is old.

And people think changing the QB (one of the bright spots) will solve the team's issues and they make a deep playoff run. LOL
