What part of us having numerous injuries do people not understand? You could see the difference in the pressure when Herbig went out. You could see the difference last week when Highsmith was gone. My god, we have Edmunds playing again!! If you watched the video of Watt last night at the end of the game, the guy was spent. Because of injury, he has to play way more. You are wrong, they are a good team, they are not a great team right now. They were in the game all night, did you happen to watch any of the Browns, Jets or Seattle game yesterday? The Bills maybe? You have to look at the league and understand that teams go through injuries during a 17 game season. This team has not jelled yet and have been flying by the seat of their pants all summer trying to build something. Some of our fans sound like a bunch of soccer moms complaining from the stands at a middle school game.

Exactly. Nick, Alex, and DeMarvin are all injured. Nick was replacing Alex. Both of the Steelers outside linebackers are banged up. Also Jaylen has not played since the Chargers game. He may be the Steelers best running back. And the offensive line is banged up as well. James Daniels is out for the season. People need to factor those things. It's hard for a team in sports to replace good quality players due to injury, and expect the same production from the backup players.

I noticed that too. Frigging Patriots would grab guys you forgot about and they'd produce. You hear the announcers praising guys all the time how they stepped up when called upon. Steelers not so much. They gave a little praise to Mason last season but that is about it.

Mason Rudolph is the only true success story as a backup the Steelers have had in the past 7+ years. Herbig is a good, but green OLB who is not yet on the level of Alex Highsmith as an all around OLB, who can seal the edge vs run... and rush the passer.
