I defended him last week. I have spoken positively about his progress, especially late in games. I also remember the mistake-prone quarterback the Bears gave up on after three seasons. We have seen more of that the last couple of weeks. I wouldn't be shocked to see Russell Wilson start against the Raiders.

They built an entire team based around the defense. The defense continues to let down and you’re complaining about the QB? lol

Why would you double down on that. You tried to blame Khan for it and you were wrong.

Khan has done a lot of good, not wasting my time on that. You clearly don’t like him and can’t be objective about it.

His worst mistake to date, this WR mess. Maybe he fixes that by the trade deadline but so far that was a big flub.

I think it is a given that Wilson will start once completely healthy.

I don’t dislike Khan just don’t think all the praise is warranted. He was GM in waiting if you think he had no say in drafting Najee well you are wrong.

We don't know, but I think Fredo had a lot to do with drafting Najee.

Tripple down, really. I hate that about society today. You’d think youd be appreciative knowing the facts so you dont repeat that to other people.

You know damn well you thought he was the GM when he made that pick and no, he had very little to do with it. It was a Colbert/Tomlin screw up.

The defense continues to let down?? Last week vs the Colts that unit wasn't good, we can all agree there, but every other week they've stood up! People point at giving up a game winning drive as proof they aren't doing well but ignore the fact that they produced 3 turnovers and special teams (made up of mostly the same defenders) blocked a punt and the offense STILL couldn't produce more than 17 points! I've been a huge Fields backer, and in many ways I still am, but it might be time to give Wilson a swing at this and see what happens.

Herbig has mostly played great when given the opportunity. His injury probably cost the team the game last night. Porter mostly shut down Lamb once they let him play more man against him and he had a huge interception. Wilson has shown flashes at linebacker. Jones looked like at least a quality starter last season, but he needs more time. The same is true of Benton. I honestly wonder what team you are watching sometimes. This current one has some major flaws, but Khan has done a lot right in two drafts so far.

They did very little to produce the last two interceptions. Prescott made bad decisions and even worse throws to hand those to the Steelers.

With the way things are going with that injury, Russ may never see a single snap with the Steelers. May be a blessing in disguise for him though, he wouldn't last long anyway with that O-line

I agree with most of the OP's points, but I'm going to disagree on #2. I think I'm going to get killed for this here, but I thought Arthur Smith called a good game. The play action left openings in the passing game that Fields and/or our receivers simply couldn't exploit due to poor execution. I admire Field's toughness and like his ability to run the ball, but this isn't college. You have to be able to complete passes. Fields just can't do it consistently in my opinion. The option to call running plays other than QB runs just isn't there with the state of this O line. That's why I thought the heavy dose of play action was the best game plan.

I'm ready for the Russell Wilson "era" to begin for better or worse.

Fields made a few nice throws but was far too careless with the ball again.

They clearly reigned him in after a first half of some ill advised throws. I like that he was trying to push the ball downfield, but two of them should've been intercepted. And, if the shot to Washington was on target, it could have easily been as Washington was blanketed.

Another lackluster game against, what was essentially, Dallas' 3rd string defense. That's four games out of 5 that have been just meh.

I'm ready to see what Russ can do.

Agreed. I think there is a good chance Wilson will start against the Raiders. I'm not sure it will help. I don't think he can be successful behind an offensive line this bad, but I do think he will see some of the things Fields is missing.

Truth is... both of the teams that played last night are on the road to nowhere. Steelers and Cowboys won't do squat in the post season, IF they even make it.

Wilson would be toast behind this O line. He won't last long... and we'll end up with Fields or Allen anyway.

Arthur Smith was terrible last night this was a game where Najee should've gotten 20-25 carries, in the first half they had those scrubs in at RB.

    9. One of the worst run defenses in the league and we did nothing to take advantage of it

This was one of my fears going into this game. Bruce Arians used to do this thing where instead of attacking a team's weakness, he thought he'd "fake out" the opponent by going against their strength since he thought they wouldn't expect it. Never worked out, and now that Arians is long gone, I'm thinking that Tomlin had more to do with it than I used to think.

I know he wasn’t the GM but he was certainly involved at that point in Personnel decisions. To what degree I don’t know. Whatever it doesn’t matter Najee is a bust let’s move on.

defense went down when herbig did. demarvin leal needs to go away. terrible.

fields still can't read a defense. he over threw too many open guys. fumbles too much.

najee isn't that good, pretty average.

o-line can get better. seumalo first game back. probably hurried. mccorrmick had a great smart block on muth's TD.

    DC stinks. he got outsmarted.

i agree with whomever said they wanted kyle allen to stay in the game. first thing down the middle of the field. it slowly went back to outside the numbers when fields came back in.

injuries have killed us this year. again.
