Nfl.com has us taking cordarrlle patterson at 17 with star luteleli going to cowboys at 18. If that happens i might have go go to the burgh personally and ask some questions. Surely we wouldnt pass on a sure thing lime star

I've read some scouts have said Loutuleilei is the most overrated prospect in this draft.

Yeah, I don't see a sure thing there at all. I especially don't see him in a 3-4.

Yes, I've seen him play. He is an intriguing prospect if you watch highlights, but when you watch whole games he no longer looks like a sure thing. There's a bit too much "now you see him, now you don't" going on there to take him with a top 20 pick. More importantly, I see his playmaking as being mostly gap penetration, and that's not what we do with our D linemen. If we take him, it wouldn't be a horrible pick, but there will be other guys available at #17 who provide far more certainty and have shown up for 4 quarters consistently in their careers.

Star is inconsistent a few splash plays here and there I think the Steelers have bigger needs at #17.

star is out with heart trouble. milner and dion jordan had shoulder surgery, and barrett jones had foot surgery. thats at least 3 top players that should drop from in front of us.

i am hoping jones falls to us in the second. i still say he is one of the top 3 lineman in the draft

I agree. When a guy can play left tackle one season, and center the next, both at an All-American level, that's a really good player.

jones is a pretty safe pick. he also fills alot of spots for a team. having two guys like he and beachum could shore up every position on the line.

I seem to be in the minority, but I would be THRILLED with Patterson!

He's raw but he has the highest ceiling by far of anyone in this draft. I wouldn't hate him at all at 17. That being said I'd rather trade down or wait until the 2nd round for Deandre Hopins or Justin Hunter.

a prime example of pattersons concentration or lack there of. during a drill yesterday instead of turning and running up the field after catching a ball. he ran out of bounds and stopped. he ran when he realized it. he done this all the time at tenn. never took responsibility for it. he doesnt own up to his mistakes. it is always someone elses fault. we dont want any part of him trust me
