The Packers are the old man's team. As far as Watson, while his snap share has dipped a bit this year, it's a small sample (only three full games for Watson) that I think was influenced by Willis having to start two games for Love (Watson owns the highest ADOT on the team). Last year he was steadily in the upper 70's and 80s. Dobbs paces the room, and Reed is even with Watson thus far this season. Wicks has a lot talent, and some feel he could push Watson (and Dobbs) for snaps if he finds his groove.

But, yeah, the issue with Watson is his health. Right now he reminds me of Will Blackwell, whose signature line of sideline sweats saw about the same amount of action as his playing jersey. Not sure I'd be interested unless there was a significant discount in price.

    Agreed.

Beyond him though, I personally don't have too many options remaining. D.K. Metcalf and Cortland Sutton remain but I seriously doubt Seattle and Denver is going to trade either.

This year is one thing and we do need another option in the passing game. Going forward is entirely different though. If you keep DA that's a big cap hit and we don't have a QB under contract next season. If we don't keep him, we then only have a 1st and 3rd pick before the 5th round (assuming we trade a 2nd for him).

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Not going to fall for this again. I will believe it when I see him at the Pittsburgh airport. Jk. That won’t even convince me. Need him on the field with a Pittsburgh uniform.

He posted a pic of Edgar Allan Poe today. People wonder if that means hes being dealt to the Ravens.

Well, that's kind of required by the CBA. Teams must spend ~89% of their cap over a four-year period.

I think what he means is invest heavily in the OL. They've now done that to a fair degree (two first-round tackles, second-round center, FA acquisitions of Seamulo and Daniels), but four of those five were only added in the last two years, while it's been an issue for several. Depth is still thin.

At this point I’d rather the Rooney’s back up the brinks truck to Mike Munchak’s front door and sign HIM to a three-year deal

Then this guy hasn't paid attention to how the Steelers conduct business. It's not that the fan base doesn't want to see them take a big swing. It's that most of the fan base already knows how conservative they usually are, the Fitzpatrick trade notwithstanding. Generally speaking, the organization has been really good at NOT throwing good money after bad. See also, Browns, Cleveland. It's okay to want to get a player that can greatly elevate your chances of winning. However, I appreciate that they always do their homework before making moves and somehow more often than not, whatever way they choose to go seems to be the right choice.

I think the whole Steelers are cheap is really old. Each team is required to spend a certain amount and we are up against the salary cap nearly every year. Honestly I believe the mindset has changed as far as going after free agents the last few years. I believe we are much more similar to the Eagles mindset. You saw what happened to their franchise and their QB when they brought in a franchise WR.

I don’t. He’s not washed. Might not put them over the top like some are fearful of but I don’t ever wish for the Ravens to improve their team.

What does Pickens think about bringing in another WR?

Just wondering if things could be made worse depending on who we pick up. Will the new guy be a diva and Pickens starting whining?
