foote is the past let's start to play young people and build for the future , i personally don't care if we go 9-7 or 5-11 , or do you think foote can be the difference maker to be a contender ?

Foote would be OK for one more year. Last year he seemed to play better than the year before that.

I still think Manti Teo could be good (and available at #17). So what if he could suckered on the gf hoax. One poor showing in the Alabama game doesn't mean he can't play.

I'm not a big T'eo fan, but even though the Alabama game was rough on him, when you re-watch the game it's pretty staggering how little protection he got from his D-line. The guys in front of him were blown off the ball 1v1 all game, and that allowed Alabama's NFL caliber guards to get clean shots at T'eo on almost every running play. I'm not making excuses for the guy, because as an All-American he needs to be able to shed some of those blocks and make plays, but I think it may have been the first time in his career that he's experienced that type of onslaught from an opponent's O-line. That said, I wouldn't take him at #17 unless I couldn't find a trade down partner. I am about 6-8 weeks from having my final rankings done, but I am pretty sure that he will not be as high as #17 on my board. He's a really good player, but he's not special. Also, whoever drafts him is going to need to be ready for the media circus that will follow him through his rookie season.

I'm right there with you about the Alabama game...pretty much the whole ND team was over matched by AL. You can take one of the best players ever and put him in there with a bunch of over matched teammates and they will look average...if that makes sense.

I hope the Steelers do not take Monti Teo with their 17th pick,
To high for this player. Why can't we move Silverback inside,
could be another Ray Lewis for 2 more years. He would GOOBLE up running backs.
You say he can't cover the TE? Don't we have safeties and nickel backs for this?
I am no betting man anymore, but I would be very surprised if the Steelers take
an ILB this year although Ogletree would be one I would take.

They will bring back Foote for one more year for the veterans minimum. Please don't draft Manti Te'o we cant afford to have a bust in the first round.

Spence's injury reminds me a lot of the one Robert Edwards suffered years back. He was never able to come back full strength.

My boss did a similar injury to his knee, tripped into a boat with scuba gear on his back.
Third day into his 3 week holiday in Vanuatu, think he was happy about that.
Dislocated his knee cap and tore all his ligaments.
After hearing of all the operations, reabilitation, time off work, pain etc. and the fact his knee would never be the same.
My boss isn't as young as Spence but I don't think he will be back.

Last years draft is looking worse and worse by the minute. Go get mingo in the 1st and in the 2nd or 3rd the Michigan qb tuned rcvr. The Steelers love players like this wr/ qb/punt return/pistol/rb...

Watch the Monday combine results. See how Mingo does. He looks very lanky, and maybe not AFC North material. Denard Robinson will be a later-round guy because he needs to learn to run routes cleanly and catch with his hands. If he gets coached up, he will be very useful to someone.

I've been worried about Spence, but I didn't realize it was this grim. Sorry to hear about this.

I dunno i think Bostic is better than Teo....i'd rather see a young guy struggle and learn than an old Foote struggle...but that's my opinion....I know on our D it's the other way aroud
