McCormick has 2k plus collegiate snaps at left guard and 19 at rg.
Seamalu has significant nfl experience at both left and right guard
Spencer Anderson got benched for a rookie at left guard

If they are going to continue to ask the left guard to help communicate with the center about when to snap the ball, it needs to be the veteran. Don't put that extra thing on a rookie guard.

Spencer Anderson said he felt more comfortable at RG, even though he hadn’t had any reps there since camp, FWIW. Not sure how he graded out there. The line wasn’t great, but there’s been a lot of moving parts.

Spencer felt more comfortable there for that is to be where he plays come 2025. However, with James Daniels now hurt, I would imagine this allows Pittsburgh to resign Daniels for a reasonable amount. Stinks for Daniels yes but there aren't too many teams keen on acquiring a Guard who is coming off a major injury.

Thankfully, ACL Injuries are no longer the career killers they once were a decade ago. I think Daniels will come back 100%. He will need time to do so though for it does take time even after recovery.

It was an Achilles tendon tear, not an ACL.

Thin is thin. Might see an urgency at the trade deadline for O Line help.

Maybe, but there are some free agent options that aren't terrible at guard and I imagine they will go with Cook as the third tackle once he returns from IR. It really depends when they get Seumalu and Cook back and whether they can avoid any more injuries up front.

Adams is the new crush. He won't come cheap with salary and picks. Hard no.

As we have seen injuries are starting to creep up and its early. Going to need all the picks we have in 2025. Although might have to surrender one for an O Lineman at the trade deadline.

Fingers and toes crossed he doesn't have a setback.

And the guy who has been shunned by many including myself is the most solid on the line now. Moore has been playing pretty well.

    The Daniels loss was huge.

    Seamalu is our starting LG

No reason to juggle something that can be stable

Because teams are constantly trading away talented offensive linemen

For sure, as well as quality starters waiting in FA 4 weeks into the season. There might be some guys out there, but to sign and get into shape instantly is another matter. Hell Seattle just signed 42 yo Jason Peters to their PS, this is basically how we have and will fill the gaps, either signing guys to the PS and bringing them up if and when ready, or pooching another PS guy and signing him to the 53.

Then they should just scrap the trade deadline then.

I said might see. Maybe someone there that's a bit of under the radar that they are willing to part with that Khan and Weidl have done homework on.

Maybe some team falls out of contention and has a lineman who is old or in the final year of his contract, but that is rare.

I think Anderson needs the reps. He hasn't been able to settle into a position his whole career(college + pro's)

He has all the physical ability in the world. He needs to continue to learn, and needs steady reps at one position.

I have faith in the kid.

They can't afford for Anderson to get injured playing guard, he's their swing tackle.
