OL injuries starting to really pile up. Need Issac back like yesterday.

Still dances too much before hitting the hole. Notice the difference with Patterson running with the same offensive line. He hits the hole quicker then Harris. Almost look like he was favoring his shoulder or upper arm so as not to take a direct hit on his injury.

he did suck before Roquan. i lived in Maryland most of my life, just recently moved. He was avg, FAR from great. My THOUGHT was that he was finally arriving, maturing. YES - Roquan MADE him, but I thought he would THRIVE w TJ and our defense.

    Jury still out.

He is not a splash play maker, never was. We just need him to be better, that is for sure.

He is a Robin to a Batman. Disappointing so far.

I'll admit I'm probably being overly harsh on Queen too soon, but it's because I was so excited when we signed him. I bought the hype hook-line-and sinker. I thought we were getting a major upgrade while making our hated rivals weaker. Turns out that they have a better replacement in Hamilton, and we may have been duped.

Maybe it's not the player, but the scheme that has the inside linebackers seemingly not knowing where they should go? I especially don't like the body language I've seen out of Queen where he seems to be calling out other players or the refs every time he gets beat.

Patrick Queen is not performing to his billing, that's for sure.
It's not the same defense here as it is in Baltimore. I am wondering if we signed a square peg to fit a round hole again.
    Not sure, yet.

Mike MacDonalds Defensive terminology is worlds different from Teryl Austin's given the fact that Mike comes from the Rex Ryan tree. Major difference is, unlike Rex's hellhole of a learning curve, Mike had modified the language of Rex's 3-4 but added some new wrinkles to it.

Teryl Austin is heavy Tampa 2. Patrick is likely adjusting to the level of depth needed in Zone Coverage. The same may be of Payton Wilson for North Carolina State didn't ask him to cover the same level of depth in zone coverage either. Same goes for Man Coverage.

That's not hard to agree with.... I was writing something like this up when I noticed this. Excellent.

Queen is not living up to expectations. 4 games in so hopefully it gets better.

The defense as a whole played like total dog shat yesterday.

Watt being neutralized and others didn't step up is just mindless. It was liked when he was injured. The team loses.

And how about Minkah? What has he been doing? Paid a bunch of money to make things happen. Sure hasn't been living up to expectations as well.

When people say this most of the time....they are either very young, or they have very short memories.

Queen was the most expensive free agent signing in steeler history. That's a factor to me in evaluating him.

here is my problem with how they are playing these guys. yes we want to get wilson on the field more but roberts needs to be on the field as well. austin is way too over concerned with our ILB'ers playing coverage we are not helping guys like herbig or the guys upfront to stop the run. queen and wilson are fast in coverage but they are not the best around the LOS. roberts needs to be on the field. wilson and queen yes in some situations but if we are going to play wilson, it's not always with queen. roberts and wilson. queen and roberts. those would be a better pairing to me.

I don't want to say I told you so...but, there is a reason Ravens let him walk.

He had one good year in Baltimore if you ask any Ravens fan ... and that was playing Robin next to Roquan's Batman.
