So if Maddox didnt get hurt and played decently maybe Cowher trades Ben and the super bowl appearances probably dont happen.

Cowher retires with one super bowl appearance and Tomlin coaches for maybe 10 years and moves on with no hardware to show for it.

maddox hitting his arm on the defenders helmet changed the course of steelers history

If the Steelers had drafted Andrews instead of Ben, they would still be stuck with 4 Super Bowl trophies instead of six.

They were top 10 on both sides of the ball. What a "decline".

That 8-8 year was the year that Ben crashed his motorcycle during the summer and then missed the start of the season because he had his appendix taken out. The team started out poorly going 2-6 but rallied to win 6 out of their last 8 games to finish 8-8.

A future hof sb winning qb who was already 5-1 in the postseason with two AFC championship games and a sb win, two future defensive players of the year, a hof defensive coordinator who would give him a top five defense six years in a row, and a team that was top 10 on both sides of the ball, yea, some beanie weenies. Funny how Tomlin cant win with a team he constructed.

Did I mention that Tomlin's postseason success declined when Cowher's personnel started leaving?

I know guys hate the Cowhers player stuff but I have no idea how they can dispute this. 3-8 in the playoffs since that core of players mostly retired (meaning the players he is getting waxed with in the playoffs are his drafted and developed players)

Feel like I’m in a time warp with all these tired ass old, talking points.
You think a new guy would come in with some fresh new material, but no same tired ass old nonsense.

tune in for tomorrow’s episode titled Tomlin can’t win challenges. Followed by Tomlin is terrible at clock management.

Fields, who was traded to the Steelers after three seasons with the Chicago Bears, recently hopped on his teammate Cam Heyward’s podcast to talk about all things football, and one of his comments may rile up Bears fans a bit.
Heyward asked Fields a straightforward question: “Coaching, Pittsburgh or Chicago?”

Just as Heyward got the question out, Fields instantly replied, “Pittsburgh.”

“It’s not close,” Fields added, chuckling with Heyward.
