I Just Wanted to Say this....

Dude in this conversation it is strictly about our HC. It doesn’t matter what the other coaches are doing.
Yes we are 3-0, awesome feeling. Hopefully coach T can get a much needed playoff run this year. But once again been a 8 yr drought, how and why do you keep defending that.
Hell you get fired for a lot less at work. But to continually underperform for 8 yrs?? Your my buddy, but i guess we will agree to disagree about T greatness or the lack of it.

 

Ill tell you right now its not normal…. In my lifetime as a Steeler fan… we haven’t gone 8yrs without a playoff win.. i think … not sure… didnt google. But was born in 1965… chance we won a playoff game in beginning of 70s… now i know as bad as we were in the 80s we won playoff games.
In fact, i was in military in 1984 and we lost to Marino in championship game.

It Appears you didn't read what I said, and actually think about it. Otherwise you would get what I was saying. You can't say you not comparing something with something else, and then say it's been 8 years since a playoff win. Because if You weren't making a comparison with something eles....how would you know that was a long time, and not just normal????
How about we make this comparison.....How many HCs have had a winning season with Fields. How many HCs could win with Fields, Trubisky, Duck Hodges, Pickett, and Mason. Hell we have HCs that can't win with 1st overall pick Qbs that they traded up for.
Of course we are still friends. I don't have to agree with someone about something to be friends. I'm not 12.

So you are out of Your own mouth using comparisons. LoL. Yet if I use comparisons to show something....some will say....I'm not comparing....I only care about the Steelers. LoL. You can't have a idea what is good, and what is bad in football without comparisons to other teams. It's impossible.

 

Look, the reason im not comparing, is im a spoiled Steeler fan. Yes, what he has done with sh itty qbs is awesome. But, the bottom line is you cant win Superbowls without winning a playoff game.
It is not reassuring or satisfying to me to say , well such and such hasnt won anything. Steelers is what I am concerned about. Does this make sense. Can you honestly look at yourself in the mirror and say you are satisfied with the last 10yrs?

 

But i do my friend… Steelers were the epitome of greatness. All the other teams strived to be great like us.
I dont want to be average.

It makes sense, but it doesn't make sense saying Your not comparing.
It would be like only eating one hamburger in your entire life, and saying....this is the worst hamburger I've ever tasted. If You've only tasted one...how would You know it was the worst. If You are not comparing you would have no clue what You are talking about???
Is any of this making sense yet??? You can't say something good , or bad in any intelligent way without there being a comparison.

Tomlin doesn't fit into anything I've said. You have…how many HC can win with the qbs we had. What Hc could win with Fields? How many HC have non losing seasons.

Worst stretch without a postseason win in steelers history during the superbowl era. Hell, the 80's looked better than Tomlin's current stretch from that standpoint and the 80's were a dismal time that most steelers fans have tried to forget. Yep, that's the roll that MT is on and his legacy.

 

All these people that claim they would be happy to just win a playoff game. Heck if Tomlin won 8 AFC Championships in a row and not the Big Game. They still wouldn’t be happy.

winning playoff games aren’t the goal. So why would you be happy if he just won a playoff game or so?

 

Dude, stop deflecting and throwing red herrings of teams that expect mediocrity because they dont have the championship history that steelers fans expect. The point is Tomlin's playoff record sucks balls. The goal is superbowls. You have to win (and get in the playoffs) to do that. Tomlin hasn't done that in a long damn time. That's it. Tomlin is responsible for that. I would say the same thing about any STEELERS coach who can't win in the postseason for 8+ years. But Tomlin is the only STEELERS coach who can claim that dubious distinction. That is why he gets the crap thrown at him.

Just stop with the comparisons to other teams that are happy winning a playoff game every 10 years. We have higher expectations.

 

So another that has become complacent with a mediocre record. Oh todays standards are sooo low.
Also, winning a playoff game is a step in the right direction. No one is expecting to win a superbowl every season, tho it would be nice.
Im glad half of you on here arent coaches.

 

You gotta start somewhere. Hell, I'd be celebrating a WC win this season after the long drought we've been on. It would be something to build on.

 

BTW, this is the starting roster the last time the Steelers won a postseason game. It was divisional game against the Chiefs Jan 15, 2017 that we won 18-16. Boswell is the only guy who started in that game still on the team. Pretty sure only Hargrave and Dupree are still in the league. Yes, it's been awhile and that's why this crap has gotten old and stale. Hell, Shazier had in INT and 5 tackles.

 

Damn, it has been a long time after seeing this.

 

Complacent? No, but guess what? I’d rather be a fan of a team that at least gives me more Sundays with wins than ones that wish they could have winning seasons.
