Injury Updates

That is not a report. There is no factual information regarding Highsmith's injury that we al didn't get watching the game on television. It is pure speculation. Nothing more.

 

Here we go.

 

Why are you taking that seriously? You were so ready to argue with my speculation about Harris, which was based every bit as much in fact as that so-called report that Brice posted.

I assume we will get some clarity regarding both injuries tomorrow. Let's hope for some positive news.

Hey I was just passing along what SI posted.

Although I do think it was SI, that reported Fautanu's injury as being significant, while most other reports said he just tweaked his knee and could even play in week 3.

 

Every year there's a team that gets decimated by injuries. This team is trending in that direction.

We could learn a lot about the rest of the season at today's press conference. Hopefully, we get some clarity regarding Harris, Warren, and Highsmith. If all are out for a long time, this team is in serious trouble. They need to finish the first half of the season with a strong record, but that would be tough to do with Patterson and scrubs from the practice squad at running back.

 

The rams and 49ers are depleted like crazy right now!

a schedule of 17 games and not an increase in roster size all adds to this problem. Plus another layer of playoff games.

our DEEPEST area on the team - LB. Now, not OLB, but still.....

Fautanu - tough loss, but he is a ROOK. Did not expect too too much. FRASIER would kill, Fautanu - not devastating.

Training camp in general, however - was BRUTAL for us.

I think we could survive without Highsmith for a few weeks because of Herbig but agreed on the RBs. Can’t put all the offensive pressure on Fields with these WRs.

 

The timing really sucks, too, with a couple of poor run defenses coming up on the schedule.

 

Ugh. Wish Tomlin would start the press conference with injury updates.

 

So far Tomlin is saying Highsmith and Trice are out for this week.

He listed Warren and Seumalu as questionable. He said they will continue to alternate at left guard if Seumalu is out.

Nothing new on Wilson. He is limited to start the week.

The odd part is he didn't mention Harris at all. I have to tune it out. I hope one of the reporters asks about Harris being in a sling.
