I do agree about the Playoff Success though. That has to get fixed. With more improvement, here is hoping Justin Fields can be the one.

 

Wilson is old and doesn't have the ability to escape that Justin has. I don't think he's a good fit with our OL right now. If Justin starts to struggle or gets hurt and Russ is healed then I'd be fine to give him a chance. But right now, especially after today's game, zero chance I even entertain the idea of making a switch and getting Russ hurt worse. Then they'd really be in a bad spot.

 

I just don’t think that was a great team they faced yesterday.

Any team where we need to put up 20+ it will be a struggle.

Right now this feels the same as what Rudolph and Kenny would do with a competent Center and Offensive Coordinator.

Wilson would air it out to Pickens … no question.

Yes, just look at Kenny Pickett. He couldn't move the ball to save his life but he did not turn the ball over. As a result even someone as ineffective as he was had a 14-10 winning record.

Seriously though, that seems to be much more of selling point for Tomlin with just about anyone connected with the media than it is around here. They just can't help themselves from bringing it up every chance they get, and frankly I'm tired of hearing about it

That style of play will only get you so far though. It's effective if your goal is to be a little over .500 every year, assuming that you have a really good defense, but it's not going to win you a SB. They're going to have to open up the offense, and take more chances downfield if they ever want to get that 7th Lombardi

 

Seriously dude? Tony Romo probably said it 4 or 5 times yesterday. It's all you hear whenever someone talks about how great of a coach Tomlin is.

I don t know if Fields has the chance to be a top tier QB , but he has the arm and the mobility and he competes.
Even Romo was saying Fields is making his reads and showing the confidence to let it go when its there.
Maybe the game is slowing down for him maybe he has more confidence in himself and the game plan.
Whatever it is he has shown improvement and is not holding the ball too long and giving up sacks like he did in Chicago.
