I don't know if You are high, or your memory is shot ,,but I have always talk good about Fields when he does good, and bad when He doesn't. There is only like 100 pieces of proof of that on this board if You care to take a look. I just now believe that is progressing every game. When I seen Him making changes at the line, and go into rhythm passing like He did today ....I seen He was progressing fast.

    I mean....

Me and you will continue to go back to the biggest point of emphasis; Organizational stability. Chicago has shown they don't have it; Caleb Williams, Mitch Trubisky or not. Other teams like the Green Bay Packers or even the Pittsburgh Steelers?! Much different set of results.

Bottom line is I believe that where a QB lands in the draft will dictate how successful he can be and you do not see it that way.

I felt like he managed to keep from losing the last couple of weeks with help from the defense. Today, I felt like he took a real step forward. Here's hoping for continued improvement and more to see from Fields.

So why was Trubisky better in Chicago than in Pittsburgh, or Buffalo???

Simple; Trubiskys 2018 Campaign was the only Season in which the Bears successfully gave him the opportunity to succeed. For whatever reason, they didn't attempt to improve upon it. Granted, trading for Khalil Mack didn't help in talent acquisition in 2019 but that isn't an excuse.

I still want to see what Russell Wilson can do in this offense.

Fields did well, but he left some plays out there… dude is in his fourth season, what are the chances that he is Steve Young and has a HOF back half of his career?

Wilson has been there and done it.

I don't see Wilson seeing the Field barring extreme circumstances such as injury or poor play by Fields. Tomlin likely won't say it but there is no way he goes to Wilson now. Recall back last season when Mason Rudolph took over for Mitch Trubisky?! Look what happened then; Tomlin rode the hot hand.

Besides, as I am sure you have noticed by now, this is the best Justin Fields has ever looked in the NFL thus far; with more room to grow no less. Why fix what isn't broken?! Should Justin falter inexplicably, then make the change. Until then?!

Ride the hot hand. Justin Fields is that right now. Between me and you, the best is yet to come.

I’m not hating the kid by any stretch, but I’m still not sold or anointing him yet either. I’m going to need to see a lot more games. Even some losses and how he responds. I’m def not HOPING for any losses of course, but they will come.

It wouldn’t be fair for me to judge him behind this ever shifting ad hoc O line either.

I am very much NOT sold on Aurthur Smith too, and if not on him, then how could I be on the kid.

I don’t know who you are referring to, but I think the Mason comparison is fair as far as level of quality (different skill set) so far. Hopefully he will surpass Mason in my mind.

It will be VERY hard for me to make a similar change of mind post about Tomlin. I would love to be humbled by him, but I bet a paycheck that I won’t. I’ve seen Tomlin’s fools gold too many times for too many years to get lulled back into singing his praises again. Anyone remember when we started the season 11-0? I’ll wait and won’t be holding my breath.

Yes, we beat a good team today with a very injured opposing quality QB, injured top 5 pass rusher and supposedly some other key players for them. We have an injury bug and do do they.

I’m in reservation mode this season more than I ever have been in this century. Fingers crossed though.

Kind of agree with this. The Steelers don’t owe him anything.

They provided him a landing spot, a new team, and a very large open door with pole position written on it. Injuries suck and unfortunately the poor guy got hurt. It happens and it’s not Tomlin or the teams fault that the show must go on.

Wilson is on a downward trajectory While Fields is on an upward trajectory. This is Fields’ team until he proves otherwise

I'm literally laughing right now thinking that someone is so bitter that they dislike a comment about hoping Justin Fields continues to improve :lolol:

This is not on you, but anyone who says this. You don't go 11-0 on fools gold. Everyone say well look how it ended. Without saying all that went on for it to end that way. Like moving us around, and changing the schedule with a very old team at the time. So old none of the OL, Qb, or Wrs are even on this team.....,, or the fact that Ben got nearly cut in half in one game, and never got fully healed after that...., but let's skip all that. So every team that doesn't make the SB is fools gold then??? It would have to be by comments like this.

How many times have I said......You can win many games with just not turning the ball over??? It's a historically accurate fact. I'm not saying You will go to the SB, and win, but You can win a lot of games by just not turning the ball over.

11-0 followed by 1-5 which included losing the last game of the season to the brownies then following it up the next week by losing to them again in the WC game. Which was the brownies 1st postseason win in 26 years... 26 years !!!

Typical of Tomlin coached squads. I'll keep saying it until he wins a postseason game. But Tomlin apologists keep clinging to the "never had a losing season" garbage.
