Takes a good man to admit his mistakes, S.T.D.
At this point, Fields looks like two Trubiskys or three Picketts.

I love you said that. I was into it last week with someone on here saying Mason would be just as good. I just hope someone says the same thing about our coach. We have a lot of stuff to work on and to get healthy but they beat a quality team (defense) today. Harris ran hard today as well. We will lose some games this year but we have a far better team this compared to 2023.

I was very skeptical of Fields and compared him to Trubinsky from what I had seen of him. He has surprised me so far. Also kudos to Arthur Smith. I could almost predict what our last two OC were going to call. Not with this guy. Optimism on the up.

Let’s be honest Frazer, Fields, Herbig, Patterson all have been pleasant surprises. Fields is playing with conviction, making reads and throwing with confidence. I know he had a turnover today but he threw the ball with power and all over the field. Each week as everyone said growing and building the resume. Very pleased with O-line in 2nd half, I’ve been on them hard all year but hopefully some confidence developed today. #19 had a very good game today. Maybe him, Pickens and Roman when he gets back gives us what we need. Muth had a better game today also.

I don't like that he runs so straight up, like Conner, but he was certainly effective. And he punishes people.

I'm going to reserve judgment. The really hardgames are coming up. He's flashed before. All the injuries the Chargers had were telling as well. I may be a grumpy old man thou5so there's that

Fields has the advantage of taking over a team that had crappy QB's. He is going to look better especially when his team is 3-0. Going to be very interesting what the Steelers do going forward. Not sure when Russell is coming back but it could be a tough call for Tomlin.

Our last drive we got the ball with 5:01 on the clock and ended up kneeling down on the one yard line to end the game. That's how you get it done.

The one observation that gives me pause, is if him learning to go through some progressions and when he bails he generally thinks run first before continuing to look down field. If he fixes those and the game slows down for him he could be our guy. I will say I loved seeing him on the sideline looking at the tablet reviewing what the eye in the sky sees. That alone tells me, he's pro and wants to get better. I used to get so pissed seeing Ben with cap on never looking at the printouts or the tablet. Let's go. If O can continue to sustain drives and spell the defense so they don't burn out or break down with injuries by mid season we could be dangerous.

It's very early days, but very good start. I thought out of all those high draft picks QB that fail with their first team and then move on, that he had at least a better than average chance of coming good elsewhere, so the oposite of someone like Josh Rosen who never had of being a success in the NFL, Fields was at the other end of that scale.

Let's hope it continues. Doesn't matter what RW hammy is like now, it's Fields job to lose.

I like his demeanor. Coach is right ... this guy has a certain calmness about him. And, in his post-game interview ... he knew B. Jones number. The growth and the maturity is definitely showing. Just keep grinding and plowing, Fields. I think you're on the road to turning this offense around and for the good.

Who gives a rats ass what Russell Wilson thinks?!

If the consequences and fallout of this game is that Wilson wants to use the media to have him be perceived as the victim, so be it. Eff him. Onto the future anyways!

Well You can't agree that Fields is progressing, and leave the coaching staff out. They like you hinted at are a huge reason for it.

I can't see any way that Tomlin goes to Wilson unless Fields really starts to sh!t the bed. To this point, he's done everything they've asked of him and each game has gotten better as far as the offense goes. There has to be some continuity built among this offense and the line itself.

Never doubters ya Justin Fields!!! Never!

Believed in ya even during your dark days in Chicago!! Way to pull through! No doubt he will have just as many ups and downs after this but he now has the staying confidence (keywords here) to know he can not only play in this league but be one of the best. So, as I and others have been stating, talent was never the problem. Everything around him was.

Look what happens when you place a QB in a situation that not only maximizes his abilities but also gives him both stability and structure! They can thrive without question. Don't believe me?!

Sam Darnold is doing just fine in Minnesota after escaping the hellholes known as the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers. Even though he lost today, Baker Mayfield looks much better as a Buc than he ever did as a Panther. Should he get to the right team if traded, look for Bryce Young to do the same.

Yeah that worked well for Trubisky. And that team that Bryce Young couldn't even move .....is looking like a whole different team with crappy Andy Dalton playing instead of Young. Also I believe everyone said Sam Darnold looked great for about 3 games last year, and then He reverted back into a pumpkin.....so I will wait on Sam Darnold.
I don't know why people even keep bringing up Baker Mayfield......He beat us in a playoff game with His very 1st team.....so Baker Mayfield shouldn't even be in this comment. It's not his fault the Browns are stupid.
