The Steelers are guaranteed to keep at least a two game lead in the division, the Browns lose to go to 1-2 ha ha.

 

2nd half:The line and the young uns they drafted showed grit and pure intimidation. Harris started poppin with some “whatnot”. Patterson, a beast up the middle spelling Najee a time or two and letting Warren heal. Highsmith goes down and here comes Herbig, giving TJ a chance to start gettin in it cuz now they got two wreckers to deal with and not just concentrate on one. Herbig and that energy and speed is just relentless. Been waiting, Austin came alive today! One more, I saw offensive plays drawn up, some great creativity, good lawd at Las, nice job Coach Smith!

This was the first time in so long we controlled an entire 2nd half of the game and I had no doubt. This game I saw Steelers football like I remember it to be. And just one more thing,

But, perhaps most important of all. I saw JF become an NFL QB today, with poise, patience, and execution of a great game plane.


Why I feel so good, mind you, I’m bringing her out. That’s right, I’m bringing “Her” out and I may even try to get an extra set of push-ups in my workout. Super Super win against a good football team today.

Remember all the talk from the talking heads about the Steelers having the worst starting QB in the division, and they predicted the Steelers to finish last in the division . Just keep stacking those wins.

 

Cowher and the boys on the CBS post game show talked about the Steelers for quite some time. Longer than they usually do breakdowns of teams. Lots of good things to say so hopefully that will continue.

I will give (rare) props to Tomlin. So far, they have come through three games with a win. Hardly murderers row of opponents, but only one of them awful (Broncos) and they just beat up Tampa Bay. It is worth something.

Of course, many times we see early success (or late success) its the upcoming month that usually puts a big hole below our water-line. We'll see.

The defense is playing well, maybe better than expected.

I have been so trained to expect the implosion and a couple of BAD losses to lesser teams, that I remain skeptical. Too bad we didn't play all the AFC north games the first six weeks. I figure Baltimore and Cincy will right the ship well before we have a shot at them.

OL injuries and changing lineups means we're gonna continue to struggle there for a month or so. Stinks, but some health and live reps should help move things along. Still think Meyer has proven to be a subpar OL coach, not sure why he was kept, but oh well.
