I love the Brady commercial that says “a guy that took a couple snaps in JUCO wants answers”. On this forum, a bunch of never-beens setting on their mom’s couch calling people “glass”. Lol

There were reports that he dropped in the draft because of knee concerns, hurt in training camp plays one game and now he's hurt again .

We definitely shouldn't have cut him. I would have been fine trading him in the Aiyuk deal, but we 100% would have needed to bring in another T for depth.... But yeah it sucks that 2 of our tackle depth pieces have been hurt already (Cook for the year and Fautanu for a rally big chunk of the year). Jones has been a bit banged up too. We've had a healthy line for a few years. Hopefully we don't keep losing guys up front now, as our young line needs to play together and grow as a unit.

Side note, I am happy that Jones is getting an opportunity to redeem himself from the benching. He has handled it really well IMO, and TBH I think the best thing for him is to play through the struggles and come through the other side a better player for it.

Yeah, fandom is a weird thing haha Nothing makes people throw out whatever intelligence they have in favor of emotion quite like fandom does (politics aside of course). Lets see how Jones rebounds. There is a 95%+ chance that Jones and Fautanu are the week 1 starters at OT next year (barring injury of course), so it is probably a good thing for us to hold back on calling Fautanu "made of glass" or Jones a "bust". Not enough sample size for either to be true.

Here is hoping Broderick Jones plays well. As for Troy Fautanu... man... I feel bad for him. Truly. Dude has the talent but cannot stay healthy.

Strongly disagree about him being injury prone though. Troy Polamalu himself had injury concerns heading into the 2003 NFL Draft. He turned out pretty okay. For a much more recent comparison, Payton Wilsons level of body trauma is well documented; dating all the way back to High School. He is doing just fine himself.

Fautanu will be fine. The issue is people believeing that Offensive Lineman are invincible and cannot get injured. It was all about luck the past three seasons. That luck has run out it seems.

Don't worry the ones that wanted to trade, or cut him will either....
    1. Disappear, and act like they never said it... , or.....
    2. Give some lame excuse why they did....., and however they try to spin it......just 3 weeks in shows how wrong they were.

I've only seen that from Dulac, so I'm not convinced yet.

This is also terrible timing. The Chargers' defensive strength is their edge rushers. Fields is going to be running for his life all game long.

We seem to get more injuries during practice than games... It's a good thing NFLPA negotiated less and less practice over the years, or else we'd not be able to field a team.

Rotating players in and out of the OL is never good no matter the skill set of the individual player. We actually have an improved OL, just can't get them on the field to play together.

    desperate times require desperate measures.

when this season is over, we will look at training camp injuries and see that may have DONE us in.
IF good OL options were available, the RATS would have been making moves for 2 weeks!
