This.......people act like Ben, the Mannings, A. Rodgers, and so on played in all the preseason games. They didn't. The excuse is valid for rookies, and 1st year guys that don't, but not valid for the rest. Anyway our Qb this year played in every preseason game, and almost the whole game in one if them.

Already starting with the Pro Jokebowl and now Flag Football will be in the Olympics which I believe it will be NFL players. Good Times

I was thinking another 15 to20 years from now. But you might be right. If that happens i'm out.

I believe A. Rodgers has 5 td passes, and one turnovers so far this season, and He is coming off an Achilles tear, and hasn't played in almost two year, and played no preseason. Doesn't seem to affect him.

Justin Fields played in every preseason game, and one of them....almost the whole game.

If Brock Purdy was drafted in the older NFL....before how fast you ran mattered. He would not have been the last pick in the draft. Example: Anthony Richardson was drafted in the 1st round for one reason only...., and it definitely had nothing to do with his college game tape....it was because He could run fast, and throw far. That's it.
Another example: Malik Willis....He went in the 3rd round for the same exact reason....., and then people turn around and say ....well they aren't being coached up. LoL

It affected him a little. He wasn't great in the opener, but he was much better last night. It helped that the Patriots played like crap.

Also, it's Aaron Rodgers. Hall of Famers can do things most other players can't do.

Yep. They used to call game 3 the dress rehearsal. Game 4 was for fringe guys trying to make the team or PS.

Agreed...., but that's kinda my point. The difference in Qbs from just 10 years ago, and I include Him in that. Not saying You, but some don't realize the Difference in the Qb play that we had at one time.

I get that, but I'm not sure using an outlier like Rodgers makes the point.

Actually on that point....I was only using Rodgers because not only didn't he play in the preseason,,but He hasn't played outside of a few snaps for two years.

this is a good comment. In addition to the teaching at the young level, theyre not progressing at the pro level. Qb’s in KP’s draft class have not gotten anywhere. I think alot of that is lack of meaningful practice and effective coaching. Theyre all good athletes but the mental and practice aspect seems to be lacking

Ben had often a slow start in september at the end of his career...I remember 2017 and 2018.Peyton Manning had a lot of action in the preseason in his time and the only time he had missing the training camp and preseason was back in 2008,yes he won the MVP(It was by default) but he had a very slow start...The colts were 3-4 after 7 games and they did not win the AFC south.

3 preseason games is not the problem

Not playing first team together extensively is the problem

And yet every preseason we have posts saying they hope we don’t play any vets so the “don’t get hurt”

Mel Kiper “was” known for the draft and he wasn’t particularly good at it

Why is anyone following him for actual football knowledge

    Thank you

    And I mean that sincerely

But I’m not wasting the temporary use of brain cells on Mel Kiper

At my age I have limited capacity

Now if you have a link to hot babes

Ah he was the back up....so how many do You expect. How many did Mason have with a starting lineup. Yet when asked to play....He played.

What has this to do with what I said???? Hell Brady probably wouldn't be drafted today. His arm wouldn't be strong enough, and He can't run. You are just proving my point

3tds in those two games after coming off a Achilles tear, and not playing for almost two whole year, and no preseason.... So what does that say about our Qb then....if those 3 tds in two game weren't very good???
