I actually might have read the same article. Shanahan supposedly called Aiyuk and gave him an ultimatum. Thought I had it saved to share it here but can't find it now.

Glazer said Lynch was on the phone finalizing the deal and Aiyuk showed up to talk with KS and he ran to Lynch to cancel it last second! Crazy.

If this guy is really our hope and prayer for WR2 than Khan screwed the pooch big time.

You could be right but we have seen some very good rookie seasons in the past from players drafted in the 2-4 rounds from that position for the Steelers or other teams, so it is possible he will become good and better and better as the season progresses....He could have a rookie season similar to JuJu...not with as many yards since the Steelers don't pass the ball as much as in 2017, but still a very positive impact

It was likely a post from X; Alex Kozora being one of the people that said such. In defense of the gameplan, both Justin Simmons and Jessie Bates III are one of the best overall Safety Duos in all of Football. Passing the ball to the middle can invite trouble for certain.

However, while that much can be true, not trusting the likes of Pat or even George Pickens is a bit unusual; doubly so in Pats case. Pat is tailor made for attacking the MOF. Get some play concepts to help him out some.

We need something. I hoping for RW return sooner rather than later so the kid can “gel” and help our O. His blocking skills alone will be a great addition, let’s see what the kid can do running center routes.

well, Art is a crack smoker - a DREAMER. I want to be President and a Trillionaire - but that is pipe dream too!

He kept Tomlin - problem #1.

and it takes YEARS to find a FRANCHISE QB

all of that said - then INJURIES in camp happened. Art can't fix that. a healthy camp would have had us in better shape, including both WIlsons getting reps.

at this point, the offense is limping. and on crutches. it may limp all season long.

the plan was NEVER to go with Project Fields, but here we are.

Khan built a SOLID defense. Art and Tomlin like that. But it is 2024 - you MUST score points and score TD's. that will doom us eventually. The AFC is brutally tough.

enjoy the journey but Art and everyone else needs to lower expectations.

He was limited today,so I don't think his NFL debut will be in Denver...He is listed as questionnable.

correct - from what i was reading all week, he will not play this week. must have been an awful ankle sprain.

I am hopeful Warren is nearer to 100%. Need his speed, and screen / pass catch and run abilities. Najee is just.......Najee. ;)

he is needed in that he was drafted not to rot on the pine yr 1, that is for sure. We had NEEDS in this draft and WR was a key one.

he is sorely missed - he is athletic, talented. Can be a playmaker. This offense is on training wheels. Hope we get it out of first gear soon!

Why , so he can get hurt the next time he touches the ball ?

Just sick of the Steelers drafting these small WR's . They don't pan out.

    easy now - easy.

there are many solid smaller WRs in the league. T Hill and Z Flowers come to mind quickly. Size and grade 3 ankle sprains do not correlate.

    it was a freakish injury.

well, let's be honest - AB and HW are 2 of the best receivers in NFL in the last 2 decades - ALL TEAMS need them

    but they are PIPE DREAMS.

we HAVE Pickens and others. Wilson will be OK - how soon remain to be seen. A shame all the injuries this offense faced in August!

If Wilson has the same impact that JuJu had in his rookie season,I will be very happy....I don't ask him to have the same production that JuJu had in 2017 but if he has a similar impact,it will be big for the steelers.

I really wish people understood arthur Smith scheme. Some of y'all think that with a #2 it'll increase receiving yards dramatically.
